**Job Description**
Owns manages develops and prioritizes product backlog of user stories
Conducts backlog refinement meetings with the scrum development team. Attends sprint planning and review meetings to give feedback on sprint achievement to the team
Ensure product features are clear and succinct to eliminate guesswork from the development team
Attends daily scrum meetings as necessary monitors the progress of product development and delivery through daily interaction and sprint reviews Provides regular updates status and risks to management and stakeholders

**Pay Transparency**

The Hartford is seeking an Agile Product Owner (APO) to support our Cross Business Insurance Risk Engineering portfolio. This critical role sets the priorities for 1-2 agile teams, represents the voice of the customer, and links execution to the business vision. Responsibilities
+ Interpret and analyze both internal and external customer feedback or needs to build a business case, contribute to a product vision and roadmap, and create, prioritize and communicate user stories that support the product vision and roadmap
+ Serve as the interface between our customers, stakeholders, and development teams throughout the planning and development process.

+ Ensure the Development Team understands the items in the Product Backlog and their business value

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. POSITION OVERVIEW: Senior Business Analyst - Agile Product Owner/ Business Analyst
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced professional Senior Business Analyst to join the IT team supporting the Department of Transitional Assistance.
DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Agile Systems Development Life cycle: Requirement Definition, Analysis, Design, development, testing and post-production maintenance.
- Provide business systems analysis and process redesign expertise, interacting with business internal and external users to clearly define and document requirements.
- Experience managing agile requirements, prioritizing requirements, and scoping for sprints.
- Experienced in using JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint.
- Monitor systems operation; review daily reports including but not limited to tickets, error reports; track, research and resolve reported issues.
- Gather requirements by facilitating JAD sessions, analyzing system workflows and processes.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources and prioritize user requirements using MOSCOW and other techniques.
- Understand systemic data requirements as they relate to enhancing/changing the business process or system.
- Participate and/or coordinate required testing/validation of system enhancements and fixes, creating and/or executing the test cases including problem determination and resolution.
- Use database querying tools (e.g. TOAD) to run queries for data validation and meet agency's reporting needs. Working knowledge of SQL.
- Provides status updates to business leads/stakeholders and attains timely requirement approvals on documentation
- Prepares all system documentation, including but not limited to business analysis summary, research, presentations, requirements and detailed design documents.
- Monitors System Requests, Change Orders and Information Requests to ensure adequate priority is assigned and are addressed timely.
- Facilitates project meetings and promptly creates/disseminates project summary/meeting notes and status.
- Reviews changes in State and Federal regulations to determine the impact on existing systems and recommends system modifications to accommodate these changes.
- Reviews database structure to ensure the design supports the application.
- Prepares data flow diagrams by analyzing the business needs of end users to determine the flow of data within the organization.
- Function as a mentor for one or more junior staff in areas of expertise, such as: extensive knowledge of the Department's business operations and eligibility systems
- 6+ years of Agile product owner/ business analysis experience.
- Proven skill and effectiveness in requirements gathering, definition, business planning, data analysis, process analysis, business and functional requirements analysis, system design, testing implementation and change management.
- Skill and experience working on Agile projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels of team members and management to clarify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Demonstrated experience solving business and technical issues while supporting colleagues in a coaching and mentoring capacity.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business processes and operations.
- CSPO/CBAP etc. certifications preferred.
