POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for carrying out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline activities and to assist with operations and maintenance of Texas Gas's facilities located in the Greenville, Mississippi area. This position will be responsible for environmental health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, corrosion control, valve inspection and maintenance, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, one-calls, preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station and compressor station, valve sites and right of way maintenance, and assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities. The facility consists of reciprocating natural gas fired engines, turbine compressors, and associated equipment. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response (HAZWOPER). This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and will be part of the on-call rotation related to pipeline and compression operations and for responding to emergency or abnormal situations. The successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Greenville Compressor Station facility located in Greenville, Mississippi, in order to respond to compressor station, call outs expediently. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: * Valid driver's license with a good driving record * 1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience. * Excellent verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and a history of safe work are required. * Ability to work outside in hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments and ability to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs and ladders. * Ability to utilize a PC and manage a filing system. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong mechanical aptitude. * Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet. * Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all pipeline facilities in and around the Texas Gas Eunice Compressor Station. The successful candidate will be required to comply with all Company, DOT, OSHA, and Environmental rules and regulations. Individual will also be responsible for functioning within the Companies OMS process for documenting job tasks along with compliance activities as required. Occasionally required to perform unscheduled work after normal working hours. Position will be required to learn all pipeline ROW routes, handle all encroachment activities, as well as perform in a lead role to direct the actions of others, only after becoming fully qualified. Position will also be required to operate a natural gas compressor station, along with associated auxiliary equipment. Individual will need to be self-motivated, work with limited supervision, and participate in on-call duties for compressor station and areas natural gas pipeline system. Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday, however this position is subject to occasional schedule adjustments as needed. This position's primary area of responsibility will be the Texas Gas Eunice Compressor Station, 1661 coulee rd. Eunice la, and surrounding Texas Gas pipelines. The successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of the Eunice Compressor Station to respond to call outs expediently. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Individual must have excellent communication skills, the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, strong ability for prioritizing, and scheduling multiple projects. This individual should also have experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines. Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet to transfer tools and equipment. The ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments.
