**Responsibilities**
+ Under general supervison, apply fertilzer and crop protection products. May include use of a high clearance sprayer or floater.
+ Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how you can continue to support them with products and services.
+ Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
+ Perform warehouse work to including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
+ Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. May include bulk and or packaged material.
+ Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
+ Perform general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, which may include general maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment inspection and maintenance, and record keeping.
+ Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications (required)**
+ 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application
+ Must meet minimum age requirement
**Additional Qualifications**
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
+ Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
+ Ability to work additional hours to meet business demand
+ High School diploma or GED preferred
+ CDL license with Hazmat endorsement or ability to attain one preferred
+ Applicator's license, chemical application education and experience, forklift certification and farming/agriculture background preferred
+ Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Sales Pro responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain a productive and growing sales lead network.
- Communicate with customers and leads.
- Manage healthy customer relationships through ongoing communication.

- Maintain sales reports—calls, orders, sales, lost business, customer or vendor relationship issues.

BACKGROUND / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- At least three years of sales experience in lawn and garden, horticulture, soil media, compost and/or fertilizer; five years of experience preferred.
- Experience as a Sales Agronomist highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing the deal.
- Proficient with Salesforce or other CRM.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or similar software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Sales Professional may work in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. This role is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, a loud work environment, fumes or airborne particles, potentially toxic chemicals and vibration.

**Full Time - Hourly**
**At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. The base hiring pay for this role is $19.75 per hour.**

**Purpose of Position** :
General labor to assist Farm Manager and Farm Assistant Manager in achieving required work goals. This includes, but is not limited to, daily chores, running machinery and equipment, and handle and care for live turkeys. This position will require light paperwork, some math skills, walking on uneven surfaces frequently, lifting, twist, bending and squatting frequently and varying temperature environments.
**Principle Accountabilities** :
+ Help perform daily chores as assigned by farm management.
+ Assist with maintaining litter for optimal conditions for turkeys.
+ Record daily information in flock books for record keeping.
+ Operate machinery and equipment when required.
+ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines - wearing all required PPE ( safety glasses, respiratory equipment, etc).
+ Follow all Live Production processes and procedures.
+ Follow all biosecurity guidelines, including, but not limited to, showering before work each day, not wearing personal shoes on farm, using company provided boots on farm and in barns, wearing provided scrubs/coveralls in barns.
+ Perform other duties as instructed and assigned by management.
+ Handle and care for live turkeys in accordance with established animal welfare guidelines.
+ Have open communication with fellow employees and farm management.
+ Conduct self in a positive, team oriented manner.
**Minimum Qualification:**
+ Must have reliable means of transportation to and from assigned farm.
+ Good previous attendance records (school and/or previous employment).
+ Able to work 7 days/week with some varied hours and with some weekends and holidays.
+ Possess a level of math, reading, and writing skills necessary to successfully perform record keeping task required of the position.
+ Able to lift up to 35 lbs from floor to waist height frequently, with occasional lifts from floor to full extension.
+ Able to wear eye and respiratory protection equipment on a continuous basis.
+ Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Valid drivers license.
+ High school diploma, or actively enrolled in high school, or equivalent.
