Type: Full-Time
We’re building the AI Finance Analyst for healthcare operators —designed to help leaders at medical groups and health systems run their business with the same clarity and agility they expect in clinical operations. Our product acts like an embedded analyst, surfacing insights across service lines, contracts, and staffing—without needing deep technical or financial expertise.
In less than a year, we’ve raised $7M from NEA, FPV, and Virtue. We’re now preparing to scale with the next wave of enterprise healthcare customers—and we’re growing the team to do it.
We’re building healthcare’s AI financial analyst—an embedded decision support system for operators, not technologists. As an AI Engineer, you’ll sit at the core of our product, helping design and deploy intelligent systems that understand the financial complexity of provider organizations and deliver contextualized, accurate insights.
You’ll be responsible for building LLM- and retrieval-based agent workflows, connecting models to structured and unstructured sources, and tuning pipelines for fast, trusted decision support. Your work will shape how our system learns and communicates financial logic at scale.
- Build and refine agentic AI workflows (e.g., financial report generation, variance analysis, forecasting).
- Implement and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with structured data sources.
- Collaborate with FP&A domain experts and Forward Deployed Engineers to model customer-specific business logic.
- Fine-tune LLM prompts, embeddings, and orchestrators to deliver accurate, safe, and explainable outputs.
- Own critical systems and problems including reliability, latency, and performance of AI features across the product.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years software development experience at a venture-backed startup or top technology firm.
- 2+ years in ML/AI engineering, including LLM-based architectures and agent frameworks.
- Strong software engineering skills (Python, Distributed systems, prompt pipelines, LangChain/RAG).
- Best practices for building agents using multi agent frameworks and optimized prompts for solving complex use cases.
- Experience shipping AI into production at a high standard of trust, safety, and control.
- A product-oriented mindset and interest in iterating closely with design, customers, and domain experts.
- You should be able to move fast, take ownership and accountability of work, and sweat over details to get it right.
- Ability to mentor and grow other engineers and help foster a culture of learning and growth in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with AI native developer tools and how to use them to their full potential while prioritizing safety, high quality code, and standards.
- Bonus: Experience with financial or enterprise systems (healthcare or provider finance a major plus).
Why Translucent:
We’re building healthcare’s AI financial analyst. We help providers make faster, smarter, and
more confident decisions without digging through dashboards or waiting on analyst teams.
Backed by top-tier investors, our team combines deep healthcare expertise and technical
excellence to reinvent how work gets done in healthcare systems.
