USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.
**Algorithm Development:** Develops and implements machine learning models, AI algorithms, and data-driven solutions for R&D and prototyping. Performs exploratory analysis and helps design proofs-of-concept for innovative solutions. Analyzes data from quantum research and provides simulations or models of potential attacks using quantum computing. Models hypothetical attack scenarios to predict how quantum threats might unfold in real-world systems. Provides technical leadership to the data science and ML teams, guiding the application of ML and AI methods. Ensures that technical solutions align with project objectives and oversees team members to maintain project quality and progress. Validates AI models, ensuring that they perform as expected and do not introduce unforeseen risks. Assesses model bias, robustness, and accuracy, providing feedback to mitigate any performance-related risks.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
