The Opportunity

We're seeking a technically skilled and innovation-driven Manager - BMS Algorithms to lead the development of advanced battery management system algorithms across our global teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of our battery systems - influencing how our technology performs in real-world conditions.

* Lead the development of advanced BMS algorithms for State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), State of Power (SOP) and early failure detection.
* Ensure algorithm robustness, accuracy, and compliance with industry safety standards and government regulations.
* Design and implement lab tests, HIL/MIL/SIL environments to validate and calibrate control models.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with cell, pack, quality, and manufacturing teams to define data requirements and support BMS-related investigations.

The Algorithm engineer will participate in technical peer reviews and work with various Integrated Product Teams and have the ability to communicate and present technical findings and approaches. The Algorithms Engineer will also be responsible for receiving IR sensor data and simulated data to be used for state estimation and prediction, satellite positioning and tracking. Responsibilities will also include evaluating system performance, tracking residuals, coding and integration into systems and working through assigned defects. This is a contract to hire for a large aerospace and defense technology company in Boulder, CO.
Pay Range: ~$90K-155K annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA
