Job Description
Consider joining the Pennex family as a Production Worker in our Wellsville, PA location. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the casting of aluminum components. Duties include preparing molds, pouring molten aluminum, removing finished castings, performing quality checks, charging furnaces, running production saws, homogenization process, and ensuring safety procedures are followed throughout the production process. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-temperature, fast-paced industrial environment.
Nights 7pm to 7am - 12 Hour shifts with rotating weekends. Pay starts at $18.87 an hour and is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans residual aluminum left over from the previous cast from the distribution pan, transfer nozzles mold assemblies and other spots around the casting unit.
- Paints distribution pan, filter bowl and transfer troughs with a mixture of bone ash and water.
- Sands and paints mold assemblies.
- Preheats and dries trough, filter bowl and distribution pan until ready to start cast.
- Aligns started blocks by ensuring spool is centered in mold.
- Manually adjusts starter blocks as needed.
- Ensures proper labeling of logs and billets with stamping unit, color codes and production tags
- Moves cut log and billet into appropriate storage area.
- Loads and unloads logs into appropriate stacks prior to and after completion of homogenization.
- Operates log saw cutting log or billet into appropriate lengths
- Operates homogenizing furnace. Roll logs from table to saw area.
- Checks sharpness of saw blades on a regular basis.
- Keeps a record of materials received and used.
- Inspects incoming materials and verifies invoices. Using forklift, loads log and billet onto trailers and unloads prime, dealer scrap and other materials received from outside suppliers.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-temperature, fast-paced industrial environment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.

Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Anodized Production Worker to join our manufacturing team. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks in the production line to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules
- Filling out productions sheets and packing tickets
- Reading & understanding work orders
- Color & Coating checks
- Operation of hand tools (drill, hammer, aimailer, saws, etc.)
- Counting of product
- Creating or making bundles, crates, or skids
- Identification of defects
- Identification of proper packing method of product (i.e. S-interleave, layer, cardboard, foam, or any othr type)
- Prepare materials and equipment needed for production
- Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and specifications
- Package and label finished products according to company and customer requirements
- Load and unload materials in and out of the production area using forklifts or other industrial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal functionality
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on production procedures and safety guidelines
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the production area and report any potential hazards or accidents.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Production Worker or in a similar role
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10 to 50lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs to position metal objects to begin and finish treatment processes and/or prepare for shipping
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to position self to move metal objects for treatment or packing
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining production machinery
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow instructions
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to detect slight differences in various finishes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
