The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker is primarily responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites. Also responsible for picking up returned goods. The position of Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker will also be responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. $20.00-$26.00 per hour. M-F 7:30 am-4:30 pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for planning delivery route to insure the most economical use of time and equipment.
• Performs a variety of duties in the delivery of orders to customer locations and jobsites.
• Obtains or pulls material to fill pick tickets from storage yard and warehouse. Verifies quantities and items being shipped against the invoice. Loads merchandise into the company vehicle.
• Delivers merchandise to the appropriate customers using the company vehicle. Also responsible for ensuring that delivery receipt is signed by the customer.
• Picks up merchandise returns from customers. Also responsible for inspecting the condition of the merchandise and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
• Maintains assigned equipment in clean condition. Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or necessary repairs to supervisor.
• Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing lists and purchase orders.
• Driver is responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites. Also responsible for picking up returned goods.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to transport, gather, distribute and stock material in a safe, efficient, manner. • Other duties as assigned to keep warehouse organized and orderly at all times.

• High School Diploma or GED General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving, and demonstrated ability to operate assigned vehicle.

• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to warehouse manager using cellular telephone.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
