The Amazon Security Enterprise Protection team builds tools and services for the monitoring and response to malicious activity on the Amazon internal network. We collect, process, and analyze data from all parts of Amazon's worldwide infrastructure to identify and reduce risks to Amazon.
We are looking for a Security Engineer who is excited about designing and building secure solutions to solve challenging problems for mission critical systems that protect Amazon and our customer data. Basic Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with at least two of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, and network security
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security
- Experience reading and writing in at least one programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with at least two of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, and network security
- You demonstrate excellent judgement in assessing and prioritizing technical risk
- You have a strong application security background with a focus on scalable solutions
- You have experience building and securing complex AWS architecture
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will help implement, operate, and improve current services as well as build new features to improve the customer experience and make it easier/faster/cheaper for the customer to get what they need.
