**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Paramedic responds to medical emergencies and provides advanced critical care during the transport to the hospital. As the first healthcare provider at the scene, the Paramedic partners with firefighters and police in evaluating the situation. The Paramedic offers basic and advanced life saving support, administers treatments, and directs EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification.
We are seeking a Paramedic for our Transport Services Team. As our Paramedic, the primary duty will be the safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on the Transport Services' Ambulance.
Delegated tasks may include:
+ You will respond to EMS Call-Center requests, prioritize patient care, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately.
+ You will function with the free standing Brandon Hospital Emergency Departments and the main Brandon Hospital Emergency Department.
+ While working in the Emergency Departments, you will collect and convey information to both your team members and the attending Physician regarding the health status of patients.
+ You will provide care in the out of hospital setting, serving as the primary care provider during interfacility transports.
+ You will assess, plan, implement intervention, and evaluate the appropriate level of patient care.
+ You will maintain competence in thorough patient care documentation and use of both EMS PCR and ED software.
+ You will perform EMS hand off reports at facility destinations and report appropriately to nursing staff and ED physicians.
+ Ensures readiness of ambulance and all associated equipment for service.
Requirements:
+ Must be a graduate of approved Paramedic program. Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in Emergency Medical Services (EMT/Paramedic) is required
+ Current State of Florida Paramedic License
+ American Heart Association ACL, BLS, PALS
+ EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course completion certificate, or equivalent required
+ FEMA-100, 200, 700, 800 preferred
+ ITLS-International Trauma Life Support provider card preferred
+ CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required for Behavioral Health
+ One year experience as Paramedic in the field or Hospital setting preferred
**What you will do in this role:**
+ Operate emergency medical vehicle and responds to calls for aid in emergent situations.
+ Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
+ Provide a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
+ Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
+ Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.
+ Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
+ Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

The Rural Ground Clinical Operations Manager provides direct leadership and oversight of assigned Medical Transport caregivers and owns all operational aspects of the Ambulance Services' Rural Ground program. It supports resource allocation, a safe working environment, clinical education for direct reports, and optimal patient care. In addition, it implements and supports clinical projects, process improvement, staffing, equipment and supply acquisition, hiring and assists in budget development and monitoring. This position demonstrates advanced critical thinking capabilities in working autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers in the delivery of care. This position also supports development of other critical care and in-home care ground programs.

**Essential Functions**
+ Leads teams of medical transport clinical caregivers and is responsible for staffing, performance, development, coaching and ensuring the teams are engaged in working to their potential.
+ Demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to provide medical care and transport appropriate to pediatric and adult patients.
+ Serves as a liaison between leadership and team to invite discussion, formulate solutions, share trends, and provide input into decisions that affect patients and team members.
+ Ensures appropriate standards and processes are met to ensure team members meet compliance requirements of Intermountain Healthcare and accrediting or regulatory organizations (CAMTS, CLIA, DEA, FAA, etc.).

+ Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (must obtain within 120 days of hire and maintain throughout employment)
+ Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Certification
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare-related field, or business management
+ Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams
+ Demonstrated experience in clinical program development
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
