We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s). We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center. Our team is looking for candidates with a positive outlook and ability to work well on a team.
The Ambulatory Aide position is responsible for patient care under the supervision of the nursing staff. Primary responsibilities include transporting patients, maintaining the equipment and supplies in readiness for patient care. Orders and stocks supplies necessary for the daily functioning of the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

This position will crossover between frontline duties and supporting the nursing team with hands on patient care. This role will:
* Offer a warm welcome greeting, check in patients for surgery, and collect copays.
* Assist nursing in daily tasks and direct patient care including personal care, ambulating/transporting patients, turning over patient rooms, documenting patient care tasks, and maintaining equipment and supplies in readiness for patient care.
* Help facilitate the flow of the day by assisting with set up and turnover of operating rooms, pick cases for surgery, and transport specimens. Assist with clerical support as requested.
* This position will also have job duties in Endoscopy Room turnovers, Supporting Endoscopy Procedures and Decontamination of Scopes
Work Schedule:
* 1.0 FTE / Days
* Rotating late shifts
* One Saturday in fourth quarter as needed
* Variable Start Times
* Variable Shift Lengths
* Rotating Late Shifts
* Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation
Required Qualifications:
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to effectively problem solve and to make sound decisions within the scope of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Administers medications and treatments to patients in clinic, under the direction of a physician or APP
Assesses and documents response to medication and treatments rendered to patient, if applicable
Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a Physician or APP
Performs diagnostic POCT and CLIA waived testing per MD/APP order and documents results in EHR
Performs venipuncture per order of MD/APP
Performs review and triage of incoming test results, patient requests and pharmacy renewals; facilitates call-backs to patients as necessary
Prepares patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information
Delegates tasks deemed appropriate per licensure of LPN and/or MA
Assists with in-office procedures, as related to Clinic Specialty
Provides education to patients related to their visit and overall health and wellness
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree of a state accredited Registered Nursing program is required
NYS current RN licensure is required
Minimum 1 year of previous angiography experience is required
Current CPR certification required
ACLS preferred but not required
Critical care experience with cardiac monitoring
