Position SummaryThe Catering Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during catered events, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all applicable laws and company policies. This role supports the catering team by maintaining a clean, organized, and professional bar area and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.50.
This is a seasonal role that will start in May 23, 2025 and will end on August 31, 2025.
This position will remain open until August 29, 2025.
Responsibilities- Set up and stock the bar before events, ensuring all supplies are ready and available
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes or guest specifications
- Verify identification and ensure guests meet legal age requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area throughout the event
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service
- Handle cash and credit transactions if applicable, and complete sales accurately
- Assist with event breakdown and bar cleanup
- Work closely with catering staff and supervisors to ensure smooth service
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol laws and company policies
- Minimum age 18 or 21 (depending on state alcohol laws)
- Previous bartending experience preferred, especially in event or banquet settings
- TABC or other applicable alcohol certification required (if in Texas or as mandated)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedule
- Team-oriented attitude with a professional demeanor
