As a member of our small and dynamic team, you will work both remotely and from our offices in the vibrant Old Oakland district. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct grassroots surveys to gather qualitative data on consumer demand from retailers nationwide.
  • Analyze and synthesize proprietary and third-party data to identify emerging trends.

We offer a competitive compensation band of 65,000 - 85,000 per year based on experience, a performance bonus of up to 25% of base salary, health insurance, 401K, and Commuter Benefit options. The Market Research Analyst works as a core member of Love & Company’s in-house team for market intelligence services. Core work includes market studies, competitive analyses, consumer research, and pricing studies.  

This position allows for both hands-on application of prior experience and the opportunity to grow in new areas. 

 Primary Responsibilities 

  • Support all aspects of market studies that are based primarily in secondary data, which includes demographic and competitive data collection and analysis, demand assessments, developing recommendations, and preparing reports for clients 

  • Request, gather, and review background information from clients 

  • Participate in identifying local competition and collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data  

  • Create graphic presentations of demographic and competitive data

  • Run mapping software for identifying and communicating study areas, showing distribution of competition, and showing demographic data such as housing values by area 

  • Analyze and integrate the data collected (demographic, competitive, and site-specific information)

  • Assist with other types of consumer research as needed 

  • Competitive pricing analyses (in conjunction with and under the guidance of other staff members) 

  • Gather competitive pricing information 

  • Compile all internal and competitive data analysis worksheets 

  • Complete on-site evaluations/scoring of competitor communities, and/or coordinate with other Love & Company team members to complete the on-site evaluations 

  • Support consumer research studies (primary data) in conjunction with and under the guidance of other staff members 

  • Manage the recruitment of focus group and consumer research event attendees 

  • Technology support for consumer research events 

  • Prepare materials needed for consumer research events/focus groups  

  • Compile the data for analysis 

  • Cross-trained as backup support for project management responsibilities include: 

  • Open and set up new projects in Workamajig 

  • Guide projects throughout the client engagement to support the MI teams in meeting schedule deadlines and due dates within approved budgets  

  • Develop schedules and timelines for new clients/projects. Monitor due dates and provide guidance to team members on project status and workflows 

  • Program Administration 

  • Suggest appropriate labor write-off amounts and reasons 

  • Suggest appropriate expense write-off amounts and reasons 

  • Assist as needed with the research in senior living trends to support the company’s overall leadership position in the field 

  • Support Love & Company with additional special projects as needed 

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of three years of market research and data analysis experience, or experience in senior living. 

  • Excellent writing skills; command of language, grammar, and spelling; dedication to error-free work and communications 

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Description

Curinos is seeking a Research Analyst to join our Advisory team. This person will be responsible for qualitative and quantitative research that supports client work and fuels our proprietary thought leadership. The Analyst will help design and execute studies in collaboration with our consulting team, contributing insights that shape financial services strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, field, and analyze consumer research studies to support client-facing projects
  • Work closely with consulting teams to deliver clear, data-driven insights
  • Manage survey development, vendor coordination, and data quality throughout each project
  • Maintain and update various analytical workbooks used by the Advisory team for tracking, reporting, and insight generation
  • Interpret quantitative results and create visuals that clearly communicate findings
  • Support recurring and ad hoc research initiatives across a range of topics including consumer, small business, etc.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Business, Marketing or Social Sciences)
  • 0-3 years of experience in a quantitative or qualitative research role with a good understanding of vendor and field management
  • Ability to manage all steps of a research project, from survey design to storyline development
  • Ability to interpret quantitative data and visualize it in a clear manner
  • Experience with SQL, R or Python and statistical analysis packages (e.g., SPSS, JMP, Tableau)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Enthusiasm for learning, particularly diving into new subject areas
  • Strong multitasking aptitude and the ability to take on responsibility

Base Salary Range: $67,500 - $70,000 (bonus potential)
