The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
**Essential Job Functions**
+ Provides basic patient care to include, but not limited to, care and comfort, vital sign measurement, personal care and hygiene, and assists with mobility, including unit-based specialty duties.
+ Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and/or concerns.
+ Provides high-level customer service to all patients, patient's family, visitors, and employees.
+ Provides accurate, precise, timely documentation when applicable for patient care.
+ Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
+ Performs delegated tasks once competency has been validated.
+ Mobilizes patients using therapeutic transfer techniques which foster independence and safety.
+ Fosters independence by encouraging patients to complete tasks as independently as possible.
+ Individualizes care based on patient's interests and hobbies.

**Licensing/Certification**
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
Must have completed one of the following: (required)
Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR
Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC), OR CNA Certified Nurse Aide, OR Nurses Aide state testing or completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.

Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long term care facility, with a preference for the setting in which they are applying (preferred)

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for effective nursing and operational leadership. Serves as role model for clinical and professional practice. II. Employment Qualifications

The Radiological Technologist is a certified health professional who, under the direction of an authorized user, is committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation, in diagnostic radiology.
**Essential Functions:**
- Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.

The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. They will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
+ Performs computed tomography procedures.
+ Properly positions and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.

**The Telecommunications Operator expedites telephone, radio, pager and public address communications throughout the Hospital, including emergency announcements and notifications in accordance with the Emergency Preparedness Manual. Responsibilities include contacting on-call teams; administrative, medical personnel, surgery, anesthesia, cardiac, emergency/disaster, etc.**
+ Functions as a full time Operator; responds, prioritizes and navigates all internal and external calls in a prompt courteous manner including patient information and transferring to patient rooms.Coordinates language and sign language interpretation requests by callers.Must possess ability to trouble shoot and resolve caller problems and specific requests in a timely manner.Maintains pagers, (site specific).Utilizes paging system, two way radio and portable phones as needed.When requested, contacts On Call Teams/Personnel and documents according to site specific protocol.Monitors and responds appropriately to alarms, i.e. Security/Panic, Maintenance, Elevator, Weather Radio, Responder 5 and Emergency phone line notifications.Responds accordingly to Emergency codes and site specific policies.Records all shift occurrences and fulfills documentation requirements per site policies/protocol.May also organize and update the hospital directory; track employee pager assignments; assist managers in ordering departmental language phones; order all office supplies; attend hospital staff meetings as needed
