Job Description
Top tier facility in a southern California vacation destination. We need at least 4 new full time Anesthesiologist - Generalist Physicians due to the hospital's construction of 6 new ORs and start up of a new OB L&D service. We are seeking general anesthesia docs primarily for inpatient and outpatient surgeries all on our campus, and OB service is not mandatory.
We cover only one facility, both inpatient and outpatient on one campus. We have a night float system for overnight call, which works out to less than 10 nights a year. There is a generous common unit value for all cases and a differential for working past 5 pm, as well as additional compensation if there is down time between cases. There is also a minimal daily income guarantee for days that OR volume is down, and for days that you make less than the minimum daily unit guarantee.
Recent OB experience is a plus if you desire to do OB, but OB is not required if not desired.
We are one of the busiest joint centers in California and proficiency in spinal anesthesia is helpful. Regional skills are not required as there is an acute pain service doing preoperative nerve blocks. The hospital has all new equipment with regular updates. This is a W-2 job with direct employment by the hospital.
