Summary/Objective of Position:

The successful applicant must have the background and experience to teach courses in animal sciences including comparative animal physiology and vertebrate zoology in a BS in Biology program. A Ph.D. is preferred, and the ability to mentor thesis students in an MS in Biology program is also highly recommended.

The School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics of Diné College is recruiting for short-term and long-term faculty positions to teach Animal Science, Vertebrate Zoology and Breeding/Animal Genetics as well as upper-division courses in your specialty. We are developing a BS program in Agriculture, as well as improving graduate programs in Biology and expanding our agriculture focused programs. The faculty position along with regular teaching responsibilities, also requires ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate level research. We invite creative, engaged colleagues. The first year will involve 40% teaching, 30% Ag BS Program development, and 30% research development. Subsequent years will involve mostly teaching, and research up to 40% as faculty acquire grant funding.

94% Instruction and Curriculum. Times, days, and site(S) for teaching of courses vary and mode of delivery may include distance education based on appropriate online teaching certification. As a multi-site college, faculty may be required to teach at satellite centers.

The responsibilities may also include:

1% Assessment of courses and programs;

1% Academic advising and mentoring;

1% Service on committees;

1% Service to the College through student organization advising, service learning, and disappearing task force, etc.;

1% Other assignments such as grant management, research, or specific academic endeavors;

1% Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Minimum:

  • Minimum standards for Special Diné Scholars Credential include rigorous testing, validation, verification, special certification, specialized clinical experience or expertise through wide critical and public recognition. (PPPM 400.12)

Preferred:

  • Degrees in veterinary sciences.
  • For teaching of 300-400 level courses.
  • Minimum of a master degree, doctorate degree preferred in the respective discipline with a minimum of 18 credit hours of upper division and/or graduate credit in the discipline to be taught with demonstration of extensive or.

Knowledge:

  • Four years of experience to include:
    • A minimum of two years' satisfactory or above college teaching experience.
    • A minimum of two years' experience in an institution of higher education.
  • A faculty is expected to have a high degree of proficiency in computer software used to support the administration of higher education.
  • Software use include but is not limited to, general office functions such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet services.
  • In addition, a faculty is expected to utilize academic-specific programs for course delivery (Face-to-face, synchronous, and asynchronous), and course maintenance (such as grade submissions, posting of syllabus, etc.).

Skills:

  • DVM, Master's of Ph.D. in Animal Science or similar field of study.

**Summary**
This position will manage day-to-day business for Perdue Animal Nutrition. The position will work closely with the Sales & Technical Team, formulation, operations regarding logistics / warehousing and manage customer service to provide superior cost position and service. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Train, mentor, and lead customer service representatives in AgTech: on operating systems, process flows, and situational problem-solving, with a focus on AgTech tools and procedures. Including covering contracts, load orders, ticket entry, inventory checks, and costing processes.

The Director of Operations is a hands-on, results-driven leader responsible for overseeing three manufacturing sites for our Animal Nutrition division (New Holstein, WI; Boscobel, WI; and Paris, IL). This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, an ability to quickly learn and understand plant-specific processes and demonstrated experience managing capital projects. The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership in areas including production, maintenance, inventory, EH&S, and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement key manufacturing strategies, plans, and programs to support plant objectives and achieve short- and long-term goals related to cost, quality, and performance.
  • Define, direct, and communicate the activities of each functional area of operations to ensure alignment with, and achievement of, facility defined goals.
  • Regularly engage with frontline production, maintenance, and engineering teams to assess processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operational excellence.
  • Apply mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills to identify and address equipment-related bottlenecks, maintenance needs, and process improvements.
  • Lead all capital improvement and capital expenditure projects (including AME process), from planning through execution. Ensure projects align with operational goals, maintain/improve plant assets, and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • With the support of regional and corporate HR management: Recruit, develop, coach, lead and empower employees, while constantly raising the standards of performance and ensuring high employee engagement. Develop, or source, employee training and make sure ongoing and appropriate training is occurring and is documented for employees at all levels.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets; monitor performance, control costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Proactively explore and implement emerging technologies, automation tools, and process innovations that drive plant performance, quality, and mechanical efficiency.
  • Together with Corporate EHS, manage the facility’s environmental health, and regulatory compliance programming and initiatives.
  • Manage communication with proper government agencies.
  • Ensure a quality system is in place that supports the goal of 100% first pass quality and adheres to the most rigorous supply chain standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality and R&D to develop and improve products and related processes. Establish procedures, oversee the conduction of, and report results from, experimental test runs.
  • Oversee inventory levels, including rework and off-spec material. Collaborate with other ACTUS sites to optimize use of raw materials and finished goods within the network.
  • Optimize production efficiency in collaboration with operations and S&OP teams. Monitor key metrics to ensure quality, throughput, and customer demand are consistently met.
  • Manage each facility and related operations in compliance with all policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a commitment to community relations, acting at all times in alignment with the company’s ethical and cultural values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, with 5+ years in a plant leadership position in a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
    • Proven background in capital project execution, including equipment installations and facility upgrades.
    • Experience in food, feed, or process manufacturing industries; background in wet and dry dairy processing preferred.
    • Strong exposure to mechanical systems, production process flows, and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical, Mechanical, & Analytical Skills:
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, understand, and improve equipment and operational processes.
    • Working knowledge of project management as it relates to capital projects / engineering.  
    • Proven analytical skills to assess complex situations, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights that can guide decision-making processes in a production environment.
    • Proficient in standard computer software applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Leadership & Communication:
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Effective conflict management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Education: 
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred

**Job Purpose and Impact**
+ The Director of Application Development will create and execute the Digital Technology and Data Strategy for Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health's (ANH) North America business, aligning with the Americas Regional strategy, while also considering the needs of the market and the customers served. It is responsible for maintaining, integrating, and implementing software applications within North America. This role will partner with business and digital technology leadership to develop and prioritize a business strategy aligned investment portfolio, and it will lead a diverse and global team, proving guidance on software application testing, quality assurance, master data maintenance, configuration, installation, and support to ensure smooth, stable, and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Responsible for developing and executing the ANH North America application and data strategy in alignment with the business's goals.
+ Leads the execution and develops strategies for application configuration to align with business's goals.
+ Provides oversight for release management processes and programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
+ Establishes an open channel of communication with business leadership and provides broad oversight and guidance on application support requests and needs.
+ Leads the team to conduct advanced and complex application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
+ Identifies and drives engagement with key internal and external partners, understanding their needs and value drivers, and maintaining effective communication to ensure alignment and business success.
+ Develops broad reviews on incoming incident tickets and user requests to ensure prioritization in accordance to service level agreements.
+ Fosters positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates relevant contracts.
+ Tracks the performance of configured applications and makes adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Reviews and approves recommended improvements for moderate to advanced and highly complex application specific support processes and procedures.
+ Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable.

**Short Description**
**External Posting** : Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
The expected salary for this position is $148,000- $202,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Develop and implement short and long term marketing strategies, plans, and programs for clients, prospects, and key influencers to achieve gross margin goals for the geography assigned.
+ Maintain a high level of customer service with existing clients and prospective clients, while maintaining accurate records of call activity, expenses, and the sales process with each client and prospect
+ Identify key influencers in the assigned geography and develop lasting value-added relationships with them that will improve sales volume in the assigned territory.
+ Participate in new product development by actively offering suggestions for new products that may fit for Perdue AgriBusiness.

**Minimum Education and Experience**
Bachelor of Science **_Required_** (Animal Science, Dairy Science, Ag Economics) plus 5 years of related experience **_OR_** 10+ years previous territory sales experience selling similar products.

+ Understanding of dairy feed industry, sales, and marketing.

**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
Must be able to travel within the territory or within the US as needed. Must maintain a home office, and internet connectivity for use in managing the business of assigned territory. Overnight travel is estimated to be between 50-60%. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations. Must be able to move freely about dairy farms, feed mills and other agricultural areas. Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (-15 - 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db). Ability to efficiently use electronic devices such as laptop computer, iPhones and iPads as well as Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint . Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

The Senior Corporate Quality Assurance Manager – Animal Nutrition has the responsibility for implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Program at Actus Nutrition Animal facilities. This includes managing the quality aspects quality audits for ACTUS facilities and ACTUS vendors. Establishing Quality Assurance specifications for raw materials and finished products and ensuring that these specifications are met; liaise with plant quality personnel on analytical methods and product out of specification issues. The ideal candidate would be based out of our Corporate Office in Eden Prairie, MN and be willing to travel 50-75% of the time to our Animal Nutrition facilities in Wisconsin and Illinois.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and monitor the company’s Quality Assurance and Regulatory Program at Actus Nutrition Animal facilities according to established policies and procedures.
  • Establish quality assurance specifications for finished products and ingredients and ensure that these specifications are met and adhered to.
  • Serve as a contributing member of Animal Feed organizations such as AAFCO to influence and understand changes in the industry.
  • With the Purchasing Department, establish quality specifications for incoming raw materials, monitoring these raw materials to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Assist with international and domestic registrations for animal feed products.
  • Liaise with plant quality personnel on analytical methods assuring consistency across ACTUS facilities and toll manufacturers.
  • Liaise with Product Information Manager to organize and update all history files and standard books finished products, including formulation, tags/labels, product standard and product change requests.
  • Remain current on matters relating to production methods, formulations, analytical techniques and federal regulations as they relate to the Company’s products. Make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Work with the animal nutrition facilities to investigate, document and respond to retail and B2B customer complaints with effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist other corporate quality function personnel with enterprise projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Expert on State and Federal regulations around Animal Feed and labeling compliance.
  • Develop and assist in training quality assurance and production personnel for ACTUS employees.
  • Develop quality and regulatory programs for ACTUS.
  • Maximize OEE through World Class Projects, Six Sigma, and other appropriate operations.
  • Any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-7 years’ previous QA experience at a manager level or higher, preferably in the dairy industry and/or animal feed processing.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications including ERP, supplier management and PLM applications.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Previous supervisory and auditing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
