Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs, documents and programs electronics systems in the plant.
Plant systems include the following:
- Press controls
- Programmable and computer logic controllers
- Robotics systems
- Secondary electronics systems
- Assist in hydraulic, pneumatic, steam and mechanical systems
- Responsible for maintenance of all plant equipment when in-house skilled trades require technical assistance and are also responsible for new equipment installations and upgrading of existing equipment for continuous process improvement.
Primary Job Functions:
- Programmable Logic Controller and process computers installation and repair.
- Programmable Logic Controller and process computers ladder logic design and diagnostics.
- Troubleshooting of all plant equipment.
- Robotics system and interface design, installation and general programming.
- Electronics monitoring systems, design and construction.
- All Servo control systems, troubleshooting and repair.
- Complete Documentation of all plant equipment: electrical, ladder logic, and controls.
- PLC and robotic system software backups.

**What will your typical day look like?**

+ Will perform repairs and preventative maintenance and keep records as required by Graham White's Quality System.
+ Expected to learn additional skills as necessary towards objective of keeping all Graham White equipment running.
+ Expected to communicate across departments regarding equipment status and other issues as needed.

+ Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, reaching up/over shoulder, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50lbs. Frequent exposure to dust or vapors within OSHA limits, heat/humidity, and loud noises

**Program:** Ground-based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) System
**Basic Job Description:**
The Maintenance Technician performs sensor operator and maintenance functions on electro-optical systems. The Maintenance Technician achieves and maintains qualification and proficiency in operating optical sensors to fulfill the GEODSS sensor mission taskings. The Maintenance Technician interfaces with Higher Headquarters personnel, as required, to ensure compliance with all tasking requirements. Performs multiple additional duties and other duties as assigned by the site manager. Ability to work Overtime when needed.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of assigned electro-optical equipment in accordance with established Technical Orders (TOs), instructions, procedures, and directives.
2. Inspects, calibrates, repairs, and maintains precision electro-optical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and communication equipment and computer systems.
3. Conducts complex troubleshooting, fault-isolation, and diagnostic procedures utilizing various types of TMDE along with applicable technical documentation.
4. Prepares, validates, and maintains various logs, records, and reports.
5. Communicates and coordinates effectively with others in performance of duties.
6. Conducts nightly operations of sensors and provides corrective maintenance support as necessary to ensure mission accomplishment.
7. Completes initial and monthly recurring training and maintains certification for operations positions. Completes Government and corporate ancillary training.
8. Supports the site quality, security, and environmental compliance programs.
9. Additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ One or more years communications/electronics maintenance experience required.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
+ Excellent attention to detail.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to lift and move 50lbs to any working area of the site.
+ Must be able to access all areas of the site as necessary to troubleshoot/repair equipment on all tower floors, roof, etc.
