Here you'll get to:

• Maintain recurring financial source files, primarily in Excel with HFM Smart View, used to consolidate actual and forecast data across divisions.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the Board of Directors, CEO, CFO, and Controller, including assembling data and formatting materials.
• Support the monthly consolidation of segment results for comparison against budget, prior forecast, and prior year.
• Track key monthly results, lead the financial reporting timeline, and schedule review meetings.
• Partner with Investor Relations and External Reporting to help prepare the quarterly and annual earnings release and scripts by collecting inputs and reviewing consistency.
• Support headcount tracking and other recurring reporting templates in coordination with teams.
• Assist the Director and broader team on periodic competitive benchmarking and ad-hoc data compilation tasks.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, corporate finance, or accounting
• Experience working at or with a large multinational corporation a plus
• Proficient in Excel; experience with HFM Smart View or similar financial consolidation tools preferred
• CPA preferred
• Familiarity with general ledger structures and corporate reporting processes
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide team based financial service support for the Global Controller department. Major responsibilities include providing account analysis, ad hoc reporting, financial survey preparation, monitoring and analysis of donor restricted funds, accounting for trade receivables, employee receivables, pension liabilities and other assigned accounts. Job function includes preparation of general ledger account reconciliations, account analysis/research, journal entry preparation, and related financial reporting. Employee will provide support through the ongoing monitoring of financial information to assist the Global Controller department with reporting of financial results, compliance of CRS policies and procedures and donor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform account analysis and ad hoc financial reporting as requested by the Global Controller department, and other internal and external parties.
• Perform reconciliation of assigned balance sheet and related revenue and expenditure accounts, including trade receivables, employee receivables, pension liabilities and other assigned accounts. Prepare and record related journal entries. Perform financial analysis to review variances in accounts and follow up to investigate variances.
• Complete financial surveys accurately and timely, including reports for charity watchdog organizations, US census reporting, etc.
• Responsible for reviewing and ensuring that the project subledger reconciles to the general ledger at month end. Responsible for coordinating meetings with the responsible parties to ensure any subledger variances are corrected in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Systems Team and act as a liaison between the finance department and other users to provide support and clarification of overall processes.
• Assist colleagues with responding to financial information requests.
• Assist internal and external auditors with financial information requests and supporting documentation.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly fluctuations in assigned accounts for internal reporting and propose necessary adjusting entries.
• Perform other related tasks and ad hoc projects, as assigned by his/her supervisor.
• Responsible for financial review of emergency and non-emergency restricted fund balances. Procedures include producing monthly reports and distributing to country programs, coordinating monthly restricted fund meetings with fund managers to review variances and following up/analyzing variances.
• Perform a configuration review for new projects to be added to the financial ERP system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2-5 years accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant or current candidate

Required Languages - Fluency in written and spoken English.

The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of GAAP, preparation and analysis of financial statements and inventory accounting. Experience with Deltek Costpoint is required. This can be a remote/hybrid role with a flexible schedule. This role will report to Manager of Financial Reporting, Revenue Recognition and SOX. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare consolidated fluctuation analysis comments.
• Perform monthly Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities and accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory accounting records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and GAAP.

What you need to have:

• 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field.

• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and costs reconciliation, including physical counts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels.

• Working knowledge of excel and financial modeling used to perform analytical tasks.

This role provides exposure to a vast spectrum of accounting areas, including financial statement preparation and review, technical accounting, financial analytics, controls, and process improvement through technology. This role provides extensive opportunity to work within a large team to transform its financial reporting process and work across the various company business units.
Job responsibilities include the preparation of various statutory finance deliverables, including quarterly, annual and audited financial statements and related supplementary filings to the regulatory agencies. The candidate will perform various financial analytics on legal entities' financial results to understand unexpected fluctuations and network with various business partners to understand the underlying drivers and future expectations for the entities. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the transformation of CVS Health's financial reporting processes to an automated, stream-lined state.
