Position Summary: The ideal candidate will assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of the company's cultural and linguistic services, ensuring all materials and services meet the needs of our diverse membership. The ideal candidate will play a key role in organizing and managing translation and interpretation services, coordinating cultural competency training, and supporting program compliance with regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities
•Coordinate the request and delivery of translation and interpreter services for CalOptima Health member materials in multiple languages, including American Sign Language.
•Oversee the vending of professional translation services in one or more threshold languages.
•Coordinate alternative format material requests (Braille, Audio, Large Print) with vendors.
•Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of cultural competency training.
•Collaborate with regulatory agencies (DHCS, CMS, NCQA) in completing reports, surveys, and audits regarding cultural and linguistic services.
•Research and respond to member grievances related to vendor issues.
•Process vendor invoices for translation and interpretation services in a timely and accurate manner.
•Review and interpret regulations related to cultural and linguistic services and ensure compliance.
•Participate in special projects as needed to support department initiatives and goals.
•Maintain accurate records and files related to program services.
•Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse groups.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and other job-specific software.

DATA COLLECTION LEADER (ATCDT)
Bowhead seeks a Data Collection Leader to support the ATC Data Collection upcoming proposal effort at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The ATC Data Collection contract plans, conducts, analyzes, and reports the results of developmental tests, production tests, and other tests to include providing test support services within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Data Collection Leader prepares/manages daily schedule of data collection resources. Provides training to lower- graded personnel on the data collection procedures and policies at ATC and other locations outside ATC. As well as provide guidance and oversight in the development of the structured data collection curriculum to train new data collection personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, technical advice and assistance to lower-graded employees.
- Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies.
- Checks on work in progress generated by lower-graded employees.
- Recognizes problems in data collection techniques and recommends solutions.
- Determines and assures that the test data meet project's requirements and meets Government standards for quality assurance, completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
- On a weekly basis, performs a 100% quality assurance check of data from an assigned project; all projects will be reviewed on a rotational basis.
- Returns unacceptable work and counsels lower-graded personnel in this matter.
- Acts as a liaison between lower-graded data collection and Data Quality/Government personnel when technical and/or personnel issues arise.
- Provides input on lower-graded personnel performance to PM.
- Must have knowledge of hardware and software (e.g., ODIN, MS Office, etc.) to aid lower- graded employees when hardware and software related problems arise.
- As required, provides advice and assistance during test project planning meetings (e.g., HAWGs) in relation to data collection support issues.
- Uses web enabled data management systems such as VDLS.
- May be required to use the Cognos application to query databases and produce professional reports.
- Must be available to perform job functions at sites other than APG. Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline and 3 years' experience in performing RAM/ILS or similar type of data collection of military/nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts; or an Associate's Degree in a technical area and five 5 years' experience in performing data collection of military/non- military equipment and associated maintenance concepts; or 7 years' experience in performing RAM/ILS or similar type of data collection of military/nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts.
- Shall have 3 years of leadership experience in a same or similar discipline.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Overview
Our Data Collection Coordinator will be responsible for the issuing of the Important Information on Medicare Notification of Hospital Discharge Appeal Rights (CMS - 4105-F) to Medicare beneficiaries, patients enrolled in Medicare Advantage and other Medicare health plans under MA regulations, dual eligibles, and beneficiaries with Medicare as a secondary payer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Case Management, Physicians, Nursing, Patient Access, and Patient Relations to identify all patients who require an IM.
- Issue (within 2 calendar days of the patient's admission) an IM to the patient or the patient's representative and obtain a signature if the patient has not received an IM in the Patient Access Department/Admitting. File a copy of the IM in the patient's chart/record.
- Call the patient's representative (if not available) on the hospital telephone, and mail or fax the IM on the same day.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Case Manager to identify patients who will be discharged. Re-issue the IM 48 hours prior to the patient's discharge.
- Notify the Case Management Department and the Nurse Case Manager of the unit should a patient request an appeal of their discharge.
- Identify and participate in departmental P.I. activities, bringing any discrepancies to the attention of a supervisor.
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) year of healthcare or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
