As a member of the Apple Pay server engineering team, you will build products that are used millions of users around the world.

You will:

  • Architect, design and implement highly available and scalable systems
  • Analyze requirements, identify gaps and translate them into a technical design.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams like Client Engineering, Radios/NFC, Security & Compliance, External Partners etc.
  • Write high quality, testable and performant code.

Minimum Qualifications

  • We are looking for solid software development skills in one or more general purpose languages such as Java, Kotlin or others.

  • Experience with object oriented analysis and design

  • Experience with client server development and API design.

  • Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases.

  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent field

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree plus 4-5 years of software development experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience in building large-scale highly available distributed systems.

A Brief Overview
The Sr. Financial Analyst (Technology) conducts in-depth financial and operational analyses to support business performance improvement. Supports Technology leaders in determining the financial impact of various business initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert on technology KPI's and other operational performance information. Works independently to perform work assignments.

The Sr. Financial Analyst applies well-established accounting and financial principles, theories, concepts, and practices to moderately difficult problems. Develops extensive short and long-term budgets and forecasts as well as various, complex forms of financial analysis for potential financial transactions within the IT department. Completes and distributes non-standard reports and statements of a complex nature. Mentors and guides Level I and II Financial Analysts. This is the final level of a multi-level career development class series. Individuals at this level are considered fully competent to independently perform work assignments.

  • Determines impact on business performance of various company initiatives
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting to senior management
  • Develops financial models to aid in investment decisions. Presents results to leadership across all areas of the business
  • Creates monthly KPI scorecards to identify opportunities and risks
  • Supports Technology teams with ad-hoc analysis needs
  • Projects financial probabilities into the future and plays a significant role in preparing the company's annual budget, incorporating sales, margin, and expense projections
  • Develops and evaluates assumptions regarding the volumes of business which could be expected under the current business plan and under alternative strategies
  • Performs advanced financial analyses and develops standard and non-standard reports and statements of a complex nature
  • Develops financial models to aid in investment decisions in various departments. Presents results to leadership across all areas of the business
  • Maintains investment portfolio information on income simulation models and predicts the effects of changes in operating programs and identifies management informational needs
  • Assists in ensuring day-to-day accounting and financial operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives

What you will need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Required
  • 4-6 years financial planning & analysis or corporate accounting experience required with a strong background in budgeting and forecasting Required
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with business judgment and ability to communicate with a management team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
  • Comfortability in working with assumptions and imperfect data
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Experience using financial modeling software such as TM1/Planning Analytics and SPSS, a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adjust to fast-paced work environment
