The Aquatics Technician is responsible for providing a safe and functional club environment and ensuring clean and functional aquatics facilities at assigned clubs to create a positive member experience under the management of the Director of Aquatics.

- Travel to assigned US Fitness locations to troubleshoot and fix basic pool issues

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Lead Aquatics Technician or Director of Aquatics to plan and execute repairs and maintenance at assigned club locations
- Be familiar with plumbing, electrical, pool chemicals, filters and general pool maintenance
- Interact with members, guests, and employees in a positive professional manner
- Repair and install pool equipment and clean and service pools to include water systems, pumps, and filters
- Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner
- Coordinate with the Lead Aquatics Technician and General Managers to prioritize tasks throughout the day
- Identify any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or aquatics needs and correct them or report them to the Lead Aquatics Technician or the Director of Aquatics
- Ensure upkeep of pool appearance
- Accurately complete records in appropriate software regarding service requests, preventative maintenance, and ongoing projects
- Make sure all work is conducted in compliance with US Fitness and OSHA safety guidelines
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Assume other duties as assigned
- Work early morning, evening, and weekend hours as necessary

Job Title: Repair Technician
Department: Operations

Salary Range: $25-$40 per hour, depending on location, experience, and skillset
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main role of the Repair Technician is to provide technical expertise, training, and support for existing
and prospective clients. Additionally, the daily role will be to visit clients per schedule, test water chemistry, adjust
controllers and programming, cleaning and maintaining chemical feed equipment, as well as record keeping and
communication. More duties may be applied as clients and Vivoaquatics services and needs change.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Onsite visits to new and existing clients on a regular basis
- Train clients, channel partners, etc. on chemical feed systems and VivoPoint software
- Provide technical support, repair and installation of VivoPoint chemical feed systems, including controllers, modems, feed devices, tubing, injectors, etc.
- Provide technical support and perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on pumps, filters, heaters, etc., as needed
- Perform warranty repair and required maintenance of VivoPoint chemical feed systems
- Provide regular chemical water tests and recommendations to clients
- Complete onsite assessment and provide information and worksheet data as requested
- Take photo documentation of job sites, projects, and work completions as requested
- Provide material and labor cost estimates for repairs and installations as requested
- Record all service visit information on VivoPoint via entering manual readings, entering/updating service orders, and completing equipment profiles
- Record detailed notes on all service visits in NetSuite
- Communicate visits, repairs, and follow up information to supervisors in a timely manner
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Must communicate any needs for specialty tools, PPE, training, or support to supervisors immediately upon discovery of need
- Must maintain company vehicle and appearance at all times. Vehicles must be serviced and kept clean and organized at all times
- Perform regular inventory or parts and equipment within your possession as requested
- Communicate with managers and billing department regarding job and project completions and parts used in a timely manner
- Must be able to gather parts and equipment from supply houses and other locations as requested
- Attend meetings, trainings, and company gatherings as needed
- Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies
- Additionally duties may be assigned based on changes in client needs and in company needs and services offered
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times: must maintain a professional appearance, and must have a friendly and professional attitude
- Must possess high organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Maintain a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and have a high sense of responsibility
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Email, Word, Excel, Calendar), GSuite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Calendar), or similar.
- Strong knowledge of commercial water chemistry and balancing water chemistry
- Strong knowledge of various manufacturers’ circulation and filtration systems and chemical automation systems and chemical feed devices
- Exceptional knowledge of swimming pool regulations and codes
- Ability to travel out-of-state and overnight when needed
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Experience and first hand knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems and use of power tools
- Must be able to lift, move, carry up to 75lbs
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required. Candidates must be able to obtain a CPO license within their first 90 days.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of experience in the aquatics industry required
- 2+ years of technical work experience with commercial aquatics that includes experience with water chemistry and balancing, electrical and plumbing systems
- 2+ years of technical work experience with installing, repairing, maintaining commercial circulation and filtration systems and chemical automation and chemical feed devices
- Currently or previously held CPO license preferred
- Valid driver license that has been valid for at least the last 2 years
- Must be over the age of 21
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. Bilingual a plus!

Pool Service Technician's Job Summary:
The service technician (pool technician) plays a key role in helping our clients provide safe and joyful water for residents, guests and members. The role entails performing preventative maintenance on equipment, control systems and network hubs as well as standard maintenance functions across pools, streams, lakes, fountains, and other water features. The technician's aim is to meet our clients' expectations in a professional and timely manner.
Pool Service Technician's Essential Functions:
- Completing a professional test of water chemistry (Free Available Chlorine, pH Balance, Total Alkalinity, Cyanuric Acid, Calcium Hardness and Phosphate levels) and adjusting chemical levels as necessary to balance the water chemistry.
- Upload chemical readings into VivoPoint software application and recording any service issues that require additional escalation.
- Complete standard services: Brush and clean tile, run vacuum, skim water, empty skimmer baskets, backwash etc.
- Inspect all equipment to ensure that all is in working order. Repair and/or report all equipment troubles discovered during the inspection process through the VivoPoint application.
- Calibrate our controller systems and assist in resolving controller alarms or network connection issues.
- Clean chlorine injectors.
- Assist in recommending solutions to improve water quality to create a safer environment for clients' guests.
- Ensure equipment and equipment rooms are cleaned and organized, and maintain chemical inventories.
- Demonstrate extreme professionalism through appearance, work performance, behavior, and communication at all times.
- Responsible for checking in with the clients as needed and answering any and all questions they may have about their service or status of pending work orders.
- Responsible for checking in with their direct account manager on a daily basis.
- Responsible for knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of experience in commercial aquatics preferred
- 2+ years of experience as pool technician preferred
- Knowledge of swimming pool regulations and codes and commercial water chemistry and balancing water chemistry a plus!
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required. Candidates must be able to obtain a CPO license within their first 90 days.
- Valid drivers license that has been valid for at least 2 years
- Must be over the age of 21
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Successfully pass a thorough background check
- Successfully pass a thorough DMV/driving record check

The Water Quality Specialists will consist of professional and non-professional personnel to provide support to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits. In this role, you will:
+ Conduct site inspections and ensuring that any proposed project actions comply with environmental,floodplain, and historic preservation laws, regulations, and executive orders

+ Thoroughly document analyses in writing

**Qualifications**
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ 5 years minimum of prior Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) experience
+ A bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of experience in a related field and professional registration (Water Quality Association - WQA - Certification); OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in a related field
+ 1-2 years of experience in water quality related site inspections of large commercial construction infrastructures
+ 1-2 years of experience in water quality in any of the following eligible types of work:
+ Restoration of roads, bridges, water control facilities, buildings, equipment, utilities, debris removal, schools, churches, parks and recreation centers
+ The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust
+ A United States citizenship
+ The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA specific trainings

Water Quality Technicians at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) are an integral part of the team who are solely responsible for managing and maintaining the water for the whitewater channels as well as the Deep-Water Solo pool. This is done through the monitoring and general upkeep of multiple complex systems of filtration and chemical injection. Water Quality Technicians manage these duties combined with constant, diligent monitoring of a wide range of testing data to ensure the water meets standards. Technicians are on-site and can either be hired as full-time, benefits eligible employees or part-time seasonal employees reporting directly to the Water Quality Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and perform calibrations on portable testing equipment.
- Collect samples and perform water sample analysis.
- Ensure chemical levels are within System Operations Permit requirements.
- Maintain accurate and legible written records including daily observations, testing, and channel/system inspections.
- Required chemical handling.
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues.
- Assist with preventive maintenance to water treatment systems.
- Assist with miscellaneous tasks related to water quality systems to ensure proper operation.
- Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, is responsible for managing the Authority’s efforts to maintain water quality in its distribution system, operation of its ground water systems (Palm Key & Point South), and drinking water wells. Ensures all necessary and appropriate samples are collected from each of BJWSA’s water systems. Manages BJWSA’s response, investigation, and resolution of customers’ water quality complaints. Manages planning, implementation, and all other aspects of BJWSA’s Unidirectional Flushing Program. Directs BJWSA’s conventional flushing activities, annual free chlorine conversion, and all other efforts intended to maintain water quality in its water distribution systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensures that all functions required to operate and maintain BJWSA’s water production wells are completed safely and in accordance with all applicable SCDES regulations. Operates these systems in a manner that always produces safe drinking water in a cost-effective manner that meets all regulatory requirements.
- Performs various supervisory duties including daily operation and maintenance of wells, pump stations and distribution systems, scheduling, assigning, counseling, appraising, safety training and providing recommendations for disciplinary action and/or discharge.
- Schedules and ensures the completion of all necessary sampling including: general water quality samples, main clearance samples, routine bacteriological sampling, lead and copper sampling and all other needed sampling.
- Ensures that all booster pump stations and tank sites are operated and maintained safely in accordance with BJWSA’s prescribed maintenance schedule including the performance of preventive maintenance and routine maintenance.
- Leads BJWSA’s efforts to evaluate, respond to, and resolve customer complaints related to water quality through coordination with Customer Care, Field Operations, Laboratory, and other workgroups. Including analyzing water samples from complaint locations, preparing reports for each complaint including sample results and transmitting it to the customer.
- Leads efforts to maintain appropriate disinfectant concentrations in BJWSA’s distribution systems including monitoring, sampling, directing routine flushing activities, and recommending changes to storage tank operating ranges and disinfectant residual targets at treatment plants.
- Updates and prepares SOPs for distribution systems. Complete work orders associated with the operation of its ground water systems tank sites and booster pump stations. Performs equipment monitoring and completes preventative maintenance and routine maintenance work orders as needed. Performs instrument calibrations.
- Provides various reports as needed including: monthly and quarterly reports and data summary reports.
- Receives reviews, prepares, and processes various forms and documentation to include monthly and quarterly reports, SOP reports, record charts, station logs, chemical analysis forms, bacteriological records, chlorine data sheets, charts, diagrams, maps, etc.
- Provides training and support for operators in the operation of the Hach WIMS system.
- Manages BJWSA’s Uni-Directional Flushing Program including formulating flushing plans for the overall system and specific portions, scheduling flushing events, and coordinating activities with other affected groups such as Field Operations, Plant Operations, Customer Care, and Communications.
- Prepares operating budget requests for well systems and distribution programs and monitors operations for budget compliance. Purchases needed treatment chemicals, equipment and instrumentation.
- Ensures W&WQT operators are properly trained to meet water treatment quality standards and to fulfill formal training requirements set by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (SC LLR) Environmental Certification Board.
- Prepares and processes a variety of required reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Maintains files and documentation. Receives, reviews, and/or transmits a variety of information including daily operations log, daily calibration logs, pumping reports, chemical use logs, SCDES reports, South Carolina Water Resources Commission (SCWRC) water use reports, etc.
- Performs special projects as required or assigned by the Chief of Water Plant Operations.
- Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess basic mechanic skills to perform both equipment checks, preventative maintenance, and complete instrument calibration. Must possess the ability to operate a variety of equipment used in plant and potable well systems. Requires computer experience in Excel, Word and the ability to learn software used by BJWSA. Must possess or obtain training in confined space entry, work zone safety, HAZMAT safety, and first aid/CPR.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must possess S.C. Class “A” Water Treatment Plant Operator License and a Class “A” Water Distribution License or obtain such licenses within two years of hire or selection. Must possess a valid driver's license.
