• Works with other Technology Organization departments to understand business needs & project timelines, and ensures appropriate allocation of resources to meet demand. Ensures alignment with Technology Organization goals and strategies

• Collaborate with junior team members to plan for coding and overall program development. Support and mentor less experienced personnel.

• Develop technology solutions and corresponding documentation to highly complex problems using deep technical expertise and creativity. Create and drive completion of Technical Design documents.

• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance based on specifications, with supervision.

• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software.

• Plan and participate in system testing as required.

• Plan and participate in deployment activities to implement designed solutions.

• Maintain and follow production support processes focused on identification and mitigation of root cause.

• Flex to meet customer demands (production support and project work).

• Prioritize work and deliver on project commitments.

• Provide on-call support both solving issues independently as well as assisting other personnel

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or other related field.

• 5 to 8 years’ experience working with application development methodologies/processes and technologies within the Retail and Commercial Gas business application footprint.

• Experience with application development and delivery as well as selection, procurement, and integration of third-party package and custom technology products.

• Comprehensive experience working with application development methodologies/processes and technologies is required.

• Proven track record of achieving measurable business results working with and through others, including geographically dispersed teams.

• Extensive understanding of the business areas supported.

• Understands and is knowledgeable of technology solutions that could impact business partners.

• Proven analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and collaboration skills.

• A deep, comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and development principles

• Broad understanding of a wide range of technical areas

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate complex or technical ideas into non-technical language

• Strong ITIL Foundation

• Experience with ITIL processes and various programming languages.

• Languages: BizTalk, .NET, Java, Java Script/TypeScript, Python, C/C#/C++, JSON, HTML, CSS, Perl, Scala, SQL skills
