Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Architect who will fill a key role responsible for overseeing the design, documentation, and execution of architectural projects from concept through construction. This position requires a blend of design expertise, technical knowledge, and project management skills to deliver high-quality projects while maintaining client relationships and managing team coordination. Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage multiple projects from design conception through construction completion.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring alignment with client expectations and strategic firm objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and active architectural licensure or currently preparing for ARE testing.
• 8+ years of experience in architectural design, project management, and construction administration.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in leading projects across various building types.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management software, such as Unanet.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry best practices.

Qualified candidate will develop and be responsible for SD, DD and CDs (in CAD and REVIT) for high-quality projects of different scales for high-end luxury residential, hospitality, embassy, retail and commercial office projects. Candidate will also manage most aspects of CA. Candidate will perform in conjunction with Principals and team members to maintain project quality, profitability, performance and client satisfaction. Full-time position in our Tyson's Corner/McLean office.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Minimum 9 years of U.S. experience with IBC and IRC with an emphasis on high-end residential projects. Other experience, such as hospitality, embassy, retail and commercial office projects a plus.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• Architectural Registration not required but ideal.
• Strong familiarity with DC/VA/MD local building codes, zoning, accessibility, and generally knowledgeable in jurisdictional processes and possess knowledge of best practices within the design and construction industries.
• Essential knowledge of engineering disciplines to coordinate work with outside consultants.
• Extensive experience in construction document preparation, familiarity with project specifications, as well as field observation.
• Must have capability to design, detail and produce CAD or Revit drawings from SD through CD's with minimal supervision.
