**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for projects of medium complexity/size.
+ Engages in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
+ Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
+ Coordinates building systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
+ Implements sustainable design principles into the design and environment.
+ Conceptualizes a building design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client's requirements, budget, and program.
+ Participates in design critiques and pin-ups.
+ Interprets and applies building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies.
+ Prepares and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections and details.
+ Evaluates and selects building systems and materials.
+ Assists in the preparation of the project specifications. Coordination of specs with construction documents.
+ Participates in constructability review.
+ Participates in bidding and negotiation phase and prepare addenda.
+ Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports and other contract administration tasks.
+ Leads on-site, virtual, and in-office project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner, contractor, and sub-contractors.
+ Participates in on-site or virtual client project requirement meetings and value analysis and basic cost estimating.
+ Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.

**Education and Experience**

+ Registered Architect is required.

**General Summary:**
The Project Architect directs and is responsible for the development of the design work; leads in the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinates the related work of the other disciplines; and assumes in-house construction administration duties on projects of moderate to large size and complexity.

Qualifications:
7+ years of experience
Degree in Architecture
Michigan Architectural License or ability to obtain one in short order.
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) .
Demonstrates success in building and growing client relationships.
Understands how to navigate large, complex projects strategically and effectively.
Project experience includes commercial, senior housing, medical, municipal highly desired.
Academic planning and design experience K-12, Higher Education experience , but not required
Strong relationship and customer service aptitude.
Experience with proposal management, construction process, facility assessments
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Comfort visualizing solutions and articulating to clients. Ability to efficiently plan and schedule project concerns, milestones, and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Develop and review building plans in collaboration with project teams.
Assist in preparing presentations and strategies to secure client contracts.
Estimate project costs and budgets, track financial concerns of project.
Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Develop and oversee schedules and timelines.
Manage site planning and compliance.
