ARDMS Sonographer Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic cardiac echocardiography procedures using appropriate techniques and protocols.
- Operate equipment in line with registry standards, ensuring quality imaging results.
- Coordinate patient flow and assist in managing activities within the Cardiopulmonary Department.
- Exercise sound professional judgment in the care and maintenance of echocardiography equipment.
- Potentially perform other cardiology procedures as needed, depending on departmental requirements.
- On-call responsibilities may be required.
- Education: Associate's degree from an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography program.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed by either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- CPR Certification required.
