Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of arts and crafts programs within a designated Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland Clubhouse. Plan, develop, oversee implementation and supervise departmental programs and program staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare Youth for Success
- Plan and oversee the administration of designated Clubhouse arts and crafts programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes:
· Establish Clubhouse program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
· Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
· Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
· Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
Program Development and Implementation

Establish and maintain Clubhouse arts and crafts program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. Ensure that departmental staff understand and effectively communicate standards of program; that they ensure program areas are safe, well ventilated and well lit; and that Club equipment is maintained in good working condition.

Ensure the evaluation of Club arts and crafts programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.

Control departmental and other assigned program and activity expenditures within approved budget.
Supervision

Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal. Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned volunteers and staff.

Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including: activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems/issues.

Ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

May oversee special programs and/or events (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other branch activities as necessary.

May be required to drive Club van periodically.

May consult with parents concerning member and branch issues. RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain contact as needed with schools, member's parents, and others to assist in resolving problems.
Qualifications:
• At minimum enrolled in college working towards an AA or BA degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of two years work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
• Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**
This position can work out of our Abbott Park, IL location or St. Paul, MN location. It is a part of our PA Public Affairs division.
As an Art Director at Abbott, you'll be responsible for delivering brand-building, human-centered creative ideas, and bring them to life across a variety of mediums such as fully integrated campaigns, events, collateral, film and digital. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including creative strategists, writers, creative directors, designers and project managers to distill insights and creative strategies into compelling ideas that create an authentic and meaningful dialogue with our audiences.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Partner with copywriters and other creatives to craft big ideas into compelling, customer-centric stories that deliver on Abbott's purpose and promise

The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA office in the Lingo Division.
The Senior Art Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual expression of our brand. This is a leadership role for someone who can go from mood to made , translating vision into high-impact creative that connects with our audience. The Senior Art Director brings the Lingo brand to life through powerful visual ideas, crafting stories that are emotionally resonant, strategically grounded and culturally fluent.
This is a hands-on leadership position - equal parts ideation, craft, and team direction. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, designers, writers, external production partners, and cross-functionally with our Marketing, eCommerce and Product teams, the Senior AD leads concept development, design and art direction across campaigns, digital experiences, retail, and content. The ideal candidate brings an elevated design aesthetic, strong brand and art direction background, and a portfolio that blends visual storytelling with modern cultural relevance.
What You'll Work On

Craft innovative creative that drives the adoption of Lingo across brand and marketing touchpoints, including advertising, web, email, events, performance marketing and social media.

Collaborate with the Creative Director and Head of Copy to develop engaging, inspiring concepts and bring them to life with flawlessly crafted execution.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of combined agency and in-house experience as an art director, design director or relevant role.

You're fluent in the visual language of gaming and know how to build emotional and visually powerful moments using in-game footage, animation, and layered visual techniques. You have a sharp eye for animation and editing detail, a strong sense of timing and pacing, and a passion for elevating creative with strategic intent. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with capture artists, designers, editors, and marketers to bring big ideas to life. You are energized by trailers, social, launch ads, and lore drops-and you're comfortable jumping into Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Unity and Unreal to make them better.
As a **Senior Art Director** , you lead a multidisciplinary team to create high-impact, game-driven content across paid media, social, trailers, and in-world storytelling. You concept, direct, and execute video and motion work, often working directly with in-game capture, pre-rendered assets, and creative technology. You're accountable for the visual and narrative quality of campaign creative-from 6-second social edits to 2-minute gameplay trailers.
This role reports to the **Sr. Director of Creative** and partners closely with marketing, user acquisition, and studio partners to ensure brand-aligned, visually stunning content that drives engagement and performance across our DC, Harry Potter, Mortal Combat and Game of Thrones franchises.
**The Daily**
+ Lead and contribute hands-on to **motion design, editing, and art direction** across trailers, social campaigns, ads, and in-game promotions.
+ Own and refine the **vision for video and motion-based projects** , ensuring storytelling, pacing, and tone are aligned with each game's identity.
+ Collaborate with internal **game capture artists and editors** to define shot lists, cinematic moments, and visual hooks.
+ Create and present **storyboards, animatics, and visual references** to communicate creative direction.
+ Manage and mentor a team of designers, editors, and motion artists-providing actionable feedback and creative guidance.
+ Partner with the Sr. Director of Creative to evolve the visual language of each campaign and bring brand stories to life.

**The Essentials**
+ Mastery of **Adobe Creative Suite** -especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop.
+ Proven ability to **edit high-performance trailers, ads, and motion graphics** for digital, social, and UA channels.
+ An understanding of **game capture workflows** , including working with **Unreal Engine and/or Unity** .
+ Proficiency in **motion design and compositing** using After Effects, with solid visual effects, typography, and layout skills.
+ Experience working with **in-engine footage, dev tools, debug modes** , and capturing cinematic sequences.
