Disassemble, clean and assemble components and subassemblies, such as chambers, segments, closures, rings, housings, shells, flanges, pads, etc., to manufacture products where fixtures are used for alignment or they are self‑aligning and where tooling, methods and sequences are normally established.
4. Layout and mark reference lines on pads, segments, shells, flanges and tubes, etc., as specified, where templates and/or detail drawings are provided. Operate drills to drill and tap holes and cut material to size and length according to established procedures.
5. Cut, route, assemble, fit, mask, abrade, clean and install components, segments, tubing, flanges and pads. Measure, mix and apply adhesives/resins. Check relative humidity according to established procedures. Check calibration of adhesives mixing/dispensing machine and prepare test samples as specified.
6. Assemble components and operate testing equipment to conduct various pressure, weight and tensile tests according to specifications.
7. Check work for conformance to specifications, repair defects and clean, mask and apply finishes to components according to established procedures.
8. Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
9. Make proper time charge entries and record and maintain data as required.
10. Maintain in effect certifications for molding/mixing and applying adhesives and paints and take and pass periodic working and written tests.

+ US citizenship is required.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Assemble and test relief valves on air, water, steam, ammonia or gas to meet required pressure specifications.
+ Make decisions with respect to the proper action of the valve such as setting and adjusting to accurate desired pressure, checking for seat tightness, and detecting any malfunction of valve and marking area of valve leakage.
+ Perform a variety of assembly operations on all styles and sizes of valves such as tagging, stamping nameplates and data plates, attach seals and spring covers.
+ Interpret orders for stamping of Nuclear, Navy and commercial nameplates.
+ Perform preparation and painting operations in accordance with QA and customer requirements.
+ Work from specifications, drawings or sketches to perform hand or machine lapping of any valve or nozzle seat, inserts and other parts.
+ As necessary, operate two or more machines simultaneously.
+ Use appropriate lapping compounds for specified surface flatness and mix various compounds accordingly. Also use special polishing compounds to attain high degree of surface finish.
+ Use any equipment required to perform the duties of the function including operation of flow testing equipment.
+ Daily interface daily with engineering, manufacturing, production control and Sales regarding customer requirements and valve problems to insure on-time deliveries are met

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School Education or GED equivalency.
+ 1 year manufacturing experience.
+ Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
+ Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.)
+ Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces.
+ Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
+ Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro-Static discharge certification as required.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities:**
+ Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
+ Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e. - dielectric, meggar, hipot, etc.)
+ Perform in-process hi-pot testing; Perform basic set up of fixtures.
+ Perform vapor blasting as required; Perform inventory counts and verification. - Assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
+ Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
+ Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current.
+ Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products,
+ Possess inspection stamp as required.
+ Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
+ Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
+ Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
+ Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
+ Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
+ Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues. May interact with internal cross-functional teams (i.e. - planning)
+ May act as primary contact for auditors.
+ May require FAA certification.
+ Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
+ Participates in and support team initiatives.
+ Utilizes proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.

The pay for this position is $20/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 11/30/25.

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Assembler/Tester A (Repair and Overhaul) 2nd shift .
The hourly range for this position is range $28.00 - $5.40 per hour. However, the general starting rate is 30.00. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
**What you'll do:**
Assemble, teardown and test routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of simple to most complex product line that includes commercial and military.
Reports to the Production Supervisor/Manager in CSO and will also receive direction from department lead.
+ Teardown, assembly and test mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies. Ensure activities are performed correctly and proper tooling and documentation is used. Requires little to no supervision.
+ Organize data and prepare test reports.
+ Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate.
+ Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.
+ Must have the ability to utilize hand tools such as, but not limited to, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, test boxes or specialized test equipment as needed.
+ Proficient interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, testing schematics, verbal, and/or written instructions.
+ Material preparation including lapping of surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds.
+ Perform cross training when required.
+ Proactively identify and help assist in process improvements
+ Conduct in-person testing as required.
+ Use test equipment to perform in process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
+ May retrieve items from stockroom
+ May act as department representative in customer audits/visits.
+ Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is in calibration before use.
+ Maintain clean and safe work area. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
+ Other duties as assigned. May be temporarily reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.
**Qualifications:**
Basic Qualifications
+ High school diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
+ Minimum of 4 years experience in aerospace manufacturing
+ Minimum of 4 years minimum experience in assembly and testing of hydraulic and electromechanical actuators and working knowledge of hydraulic test equipment.
+ No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA will be considered for this position.
