As an Assembly Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our aircraft cargo system parts. Utilizing handheld metrology tools and performing visual inspections, you will be a key player in maintaining the safety and reliability of our products. • First Article Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of new products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.

• Nonconformance Investigations: Collaborate on investigations to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Role Overview

This important leadership position includes inspecting and testing circuit boards and SMT electronic components within specified safety and quality requirements. Labeling and documentation signoff. Minor rework as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, and rework if necessary, printed circuit boards and mounted components for compliance to IPC-610 standards
• Use various tools and equipment to test functional specifications
• Accurately repairing/removing and replacing SMT components at efficient production speed without damaging sensitive components and boards
• Solder components, wires, etc. onto circuit boards
• By soldering, using bare wire, join similar boards together

Job Description

• Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Performs online go/no-go testing and inspection, using visual magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Perform inspection operations under a stereo microscope or other magnifying device for sustained periods.
• Rework, as necessary, boards and mounted components for compliance with IPC-610 standards.
