Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator of Contracts and Assignments. - Boca Raton, FL.
The Coordinator of Contracts and Assignments reports to the Assistant Director of Contracts and Assignments Operations and is responsible for coordinating activities related to the housing assignments of new residential students and special populations on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses. The Coordinator creates increased efficiency and improves operations for students and staff in Housing and Residential Education.
Summary of responsibilities:
+ Process assignments, appeals, cancellations, and assignment change requests for West Campus (first-year housing), graduate student housing, and Jupiter Wilkes Honors College.
+ Collaborate with the Assistant Director to serve as a point of contact for housing renewals and room self-selection
+ Serve as the main point of contact to track and process Wilkes Honors College housing exemptions
+ Process housing applications and assignments for special populations
+ Serve as the primary contact for internship and guest housing. Verify billing and payment receipt.
+ Provide customer service support for the Central Housing and Residential Education Office. Respond to phone calls and in-person queries professionally, efficiently, and in a courteous and approachable manner.
+ Assist students, prospective students, and family members in solving problems, connecting with resources, and addressing concerns. Respond to issues and concerns with sensitivity, empathy, and care.
+ Provide information about housing policies, procedures, and availability.
+ Keep records of customer interactions and transactions-record details of inquiries, comments, and complaints.
+ Serve as the backup to the Office Manager Specialist as it relates to answering phones and assisting with in-person inquiries as needed.
+ Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all student and housing information.
+ Maintain data integrity of student housing information in StarRez and other confidential data systems.
+ Assist with processing the unclaimed mail process at the end of each semester in partnership with the mail vendor.
+ Assist with Admissions and other University events as needed.
+ Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with procedures and policies within Housing and Residential Education and Florida Atlantic.
+ Attend and participate in staff meetings.
+ Takes an active interest in identifying and participating in their professional development opportunities during business hours.
+ Serve as essential personnel.

Our facilities include the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, a full service acute hospital which includes an acute psychiatric unit. We have nine (9) outpatient health centers throughout the County, detention facilities, and juvenile hall.

* Follows MD orders to administer intravenous therapy and other prescribed medication and treatments

Substitution for experience: Possession of a BSN and six (6) months of experience as a Beginning Level Registered Nurse working in an acute care hospital may be substituted for the 1 (one) year of required experience.
Additional Requirements by Assignment:
Emergency Department Assignment:
Certification: Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association, a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association, and a CCRMC Crisis management and prevention certificate. Within six (6) months of hire must possess a CCRMC approved cardiac EKG Class, and a Moderate Sedation class. Within one year (1) year of hire must complete a CCRMC approved ED triage training course.
Gastroenterology unit (GI) Assignment:
Certification: Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association. Within six (6) months of hire must possess a CCRMC approved cardiac EKG Class and a Moderate Sedation class.
Perianesthesia Unit (PACU) Assignment:
Certification: Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association. Within six (6) months of hire must possess a CCRMC approved cardiac EKG Class and a Moderate Sedation class.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation/fingerprint, and/or physical exam may be required prior to the start of employment.
