SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education and Early Childhood Department starting in Spring 2026. This faculty opportunity comes with an academic work schedule from August to May with time off to enjoy the summer months. Ten (10) month salary is spread over twelve (12) months to allow for consistent, uninterrupted pay periods.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to teaching early childhood and teacher education courses. The successful candidate will engage in scholarly and professional development activities, contribute to departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives, and support the mission of the college through student-centered and inclusive teaching practices.

The Social Psychology area seeks a faculty member whose research interests expand our strengths in social cognition, stereotyping and prejudice, health, social hierarchies, judgment and decision making, and/or person perception is preferred.
The Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience area seeks a faculty member who adds to our strengths in language, executive functioning, learning and memory, and visual cognition. This is an Assistant Professor level position, involving clinical work in an outpatient setting which can include teaching responsibilities for clinical trainees.
