Responsibilities

We're looking for an assistant project manager with transportation industry experience. This position will support WMATA within the Washington, DC Metro area and is ideal for someone with previous or current WMATA experience or similar experience with a major transportation authority.

•Serve as WMATA's representative for the assigned task orders with responsibilities for all phases of the project;
•Ensure all required tasks are performed on time and within budget;
•Engage specifically in planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff;
•Manage stakeholder relationships;
•Develop project scopes, prepare reports, develop, and maintain schedules and budgets, and ensure quality reviews are complete;
•Identify scheduling, cost variances, and make recommendations for corrective action for negative variances; and
•Resolve issues with contractors in a timely manner and ensure that all aspects of the task order remain on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

•A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field;
•A minimum of five (5) years of experience in transit and transportation projects;
•A minimum of three (3) years working on a multiple task order contract;
•Successful completion of Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA) 10-Hour Construction Course;
•Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of project management, to coordinate, review and provide expert technical management for the assigned task orders;
•Knowledge of project controls, including critical path method scheduling and budgetary control systems;
•Ability to independently organize and carry out assignments with minimum direction as well as ability to function effectively as a leader of highly professional personnel; and
•Ability to communicate effectively.

Salary Range: $100-$115k

Responsibilities:
- Deliver program materials to multiple locations while adhering to the planned route.
- Take 5-10 high-quality photos of cash envelopes at each location and obtain approval before leaving.
- Manage physical materials, including transporting and organizing them as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle odometer readings at the start and end of each day.
- Communicate promptly with the project manager regarding any changes to the route or schedule.
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within the designated timeframe.
- Use Dropbox to upload and organize photos and other project-related documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with location staff.
