Job Description
This position will be responsible for the preparation of detailed analysis of customer rates and revenues; development and implementation of rate proposals; and the administration of the Company's retail tariffs. The assigned work is of medium complexity, requiring accuracy and performing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Prepares detailed analysis of customer sales, rates and revenues.
+ Assists with the development and preparation of regulatory filings and the implementation of rate proposals.
+ Responsible for the design of rates, and preparation of work papers, testimony and exhibits submitted to regulatory agencies.
+ Administers the Company's retail delivery service tariffs.
+ Ensures the Company's retail delivery service tariff complies with all regulatory decisions and orders and state laws.
+ Supports team members and the testimony of the Company's expert witnesses on rate and regulatory issues, annual rate reconciliations and other tariff-related filings. Prepares work papers and provides other support of regulatory interrogatories and analysis or reporting regarding rate changes and customer impacts.
+ Handles the preparation of all rate-related filings, including base rate cases with more experienced staff.
+ Interfaces with individuals and groups from various areas of the Company on rate related matters..

The Associate Accounting Analyst assists in the accounting, planning, reporting, and analysis of assigned business activity for the company. This role performs GAAP-compliant accounting and controls for assigned areas and provides support to business partners in budget development and management.

+ Prepare required recurring analysis, including explanation of variances, for finance/business partners.
+ Review assigned Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to ensure reasonableness and accuracy. Research abnormal situations and identify variances.
+ Prepare, review and process journal entries as required to accurately reflect financial activities for a given period.
+ Assist the business group in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts including gathering and sharing additional data in assigned areas, providing helpful trending (Prior year, actual vs. budget, etc.)
+ Review, and validate monthly balances to ensure they are appropriately stated in accordance with established accounting practices.
+ Prepare and communicate balance composition and variance analysis to management, including calling out issues.

+ Review expense invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper approvals are in place, invoice coding accuracy & document approval chain.

Perform system training for our patient scheduler II positions, process analysis, and support the development and implementation of training programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing duties relating to adult training programs; training on assigned systems; responsible for training preparation by arranging schedules and documenting attendance; support of system practice management changes; developing understanding of the associated processes that are attached to identified systems; documentation of identified process updates and writing revenue services newsletters.
