Description of Duties & Responsibilities of an Associate Security Analyst:
  • Analyze, test, recommend and implement improvements to information security protocols, procedures and systems. Analyze and respond to Threat Intelligence information and recommend or provide countermeasures as requires to mitigate risks associated with vulnerabilities relevant to the operating environment.
  • Monitor, investigate and analyze security events from various systems and create reports of analysis for management.
  • Accurately and promptly identify security risks and exposures, determine cause of security violations and recommend procedures for resolution of identified issues. Install, configure and monitor approved tools and recommend countermeasures.
  • Perform vulnerability testing, penetration testing, risk analyses and security assessments as assigned by management.
  • Continually develop knowledge and skill in field of work through attendance at relevant training programs, conferences, seminars, and through self-study.
  • Assist with security vendors to resolve any outstanding issues and investigate anomalies.

The selected candidate will support the MLGC Sustainment Program.
Serco is looking for a **Cyber Systems Engineer,** located in **Orlando, FL.** The Cyber Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls for client network and infrastructure elements, to meet federal regulatory compliance specifications. Candidates will also perform an in-depth analysis of the current infrastructure environments, risk assessments, and will document and conduct risk assessments and validate the security controls.
**In this role, you will** :
+ Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy
+ Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits
+ Assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities
+ Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards
+ Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports
+ Support Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M)
+ Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed
+ Present information in a positive manner to management and customers
+ Work on multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Work on complex technical problems and provide solutions, which are innovative
+ Derive assignments using self-initiative, then pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results
+ Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in security architectures

**Qualifications**
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ Bachelor Degree in Cyber Security.
+ Ability to follow high-level technical instructions to execute test procedures
+ Ability to perform basic troubleshooting steps on Linux-based and Windows-based systems
+ Basic working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, VMware ESXi.
+ Basic working knowledge of firewalls and networking
+ Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

+ Active Security + certification
+ Active Network + certification
+ Active SSCP Associate certification
