WORK SCHEDULE: Short-Term-Hourly/Professional Experts - Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Friday: 7:30 am-11:30 am (Exact work schedule to be determined by supervisor based on department needs and college hours of operation.) Temporary employees may only work up to 25 hours a week (not to exceed 100 hours per month), total not to exceed 999 hours for a total of 100 days. (Days are counted regardless of # of hours worked per day)
DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Athletic Director, assists the Athletic Equipment Assistant with a variety of duties involving the issuing, receiving, storing, and repairing of equipment and assisting in maintaining athletic facilities; performs other related responsibilities as may be assigned.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E = in dicates essential duties of the position
- Assists in maintaining the athletic equipment room; storing, issuing, receiving, repairing, and maintaining inventories for equipment used in the athletic department for
- College sports programs. (E)
- Prepares gymnasium and athletic equipment for athletic events including the set up and break down equipment for department practices and games. (E)
- Assists in the issuing of clothing, protective pads, shoes, balls, bats, rackets, and other equipment. (E)
- Assist in keeping accurate records that document equipment issued to and returned by student-athletes. (E)
- Assist in inspecting clothing and equipment for needed repairs; report anything needing repairs to the Athletic Equipment Assistant. (E)
- Assists in operating commercial washer and dryer. (E)
- Support the athletic department with general equipment related tasks as needed.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from high school or GED.
- Previous experience with athletic equipment or a general interest in sports.
OTHER INFORMATION
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Equipment, materials and supplies of a college athletic and Kinesiology program.
- Methods of cleaning, maintaining and repairing athletic uniforms and equipment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
MUST be able to lift and carry heavy equipment when necessary.

**Job Description**
Support staff is needed for athletic game-day operations in the College's APG-FCU Arena at Harford Community College and at the Harford Sports Complex. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating the score clock, staffing score table, submitted game statistics, taking/scanning tickets, game set-up and tear-down, preparing playing fields, and performing other duties as assigned.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.

Job Description
Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, carries out physical therapy participant programs, assists in planning and revising program services, provides teaching to participants, caregivers and staff. Assist Physical Therapist in the daily scheduling of rehab services in ADHC. Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
The hourly range for the Physical therapist Assistant at Center For Elders Independence is $30.10 - $45.15 per hr. Hourly Rate based on the market for the Dietetic Technician position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the physical therapist in carrying out a plan of care to maximize participants’ ability to be independent balanced against their ability to be safe.
As directed by the Physical Therapist, treats participants to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance, using physical means such as exercise, soft tissue and joint mobilization, functional training, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity
Reports progress and any changes in participant status to the Physical Therapist.
Instructs participants and caregivers in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, assistive/adaptive equipment and prosthetic and orthotic devices. Is able to identify common problems and make minor adjustment and/or repairs to facilitate optimum use and safety.
Orders and delivers items such as minor DME to participants’ residences or between centers.
Assists with and/or runs groups as directed by a Physical Therapist.
Provides in services training to other members of the health team.
Documents thoroughly, accurately, and timely, and in accordance with Physical Therapy practice standards and CEI policy.
Maintains department in a clean and orderly manner. Ensures supplies are ordered and ready. Keeps equipment in good working condition.
Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients or families regardless of setting.
Handles potentially infectious specimens with appropriate biohazard precautions, and practices Standard precautions.
Maintains a safe working environment. Follows CEI’s Safety Policies and Procedures.
Maintains a courteous, helpful and professional attitude on the job. Displays a willingness and ability to be responsive to all customer groups.
Performs other duties as assigned in a positive and helpful manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required, a minimum of an Associate’s degree and is a graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
Required, currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
Preferred, one (1) year experience working as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with the frail elderly population.
Required, current CPR and First Aid certification on file.
A valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
Ability to travel to multiple work sites and participants’ residences, required.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional standing, kneeling, squatting, climbing, balancing, pushing/pulling, reaching, gripping, pinching
