Job Description

Our multi-jurisdictional law firm is seeking to hire Georgia Associates with experience in civil litigation on behalf of National Banks and financial institutions.  We handle all phases of litigation including suit preparation, default filings, and judgment execution on behalf of large institutional clients.  Ideal candidates should be self-starters with a strong understanding of Georgia civil procedure and Georgia court systems.  Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team in a high-volume setting and able to work with software to manage caseload.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Reviewing evidence pertaining to loan contracts, invoices, financial statements, and evidence

2. Process incoming and outgoing legal communications to courts, counsel, or defendants

3. Update cases in our software system, following firm policies and procedures

4. Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve resolution of cases where possible.

5. Process incoming and outgoing legal documents and communications to andd from parties

6. Work with operations to keep cases moving through courts

7. Attend hearings via zoom or in-person when necessary

We are a family-owned creditors rights civil litigation firm for more than 20 years. We have a strong need for associate attorneys, preferably with specialty in creditors rights, magistrate court, and post-judgment experience.

Qualified candidates MUST have clean Georgia Bar license. Other jurisdictions may be beneficial but NOT required

Ideal candidates work well in a "team" environment. We have openings in both our Florida and Georgia offices

Candidates must be familiar with plaintiffs actions in debt disputes, breach of contract, and other forms of civil litigation for banking institutions

We are actively pursuing new case filings garnishments, levies, repossessions and other remedies afforded post-judgment for the largest banking and finance institutions in the USA!

Assistants, paralegals, and other necessary tools are provided for maximum performance.

We are seeking attorneys with 5 years of experience or more to join our Intellectual Property group, focusing on Hatch Waxman litigation and related opinion work. Attorneys should have a strong background in pharmaceutical patent law and a deep understanding of the Hatch Waxman Act. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong academic performance, substantial experience in a law firm setting, and excellent writing and communication abilities. Preference will be given to those with technical degrees in chemistry, biology, or related fields. Counsel level applicants with trial experience will also be given preference. Other candidates should have experience in drafting briefs and engaging in all phases of fact and expert discovery, or should have experience preparing IPRs/ PGRs, notice letters and opinions.
