**Job Description:**
At Regions, the Customer Authentication Engineer manages the day-to-day maintenance and operation of Authentication and related security systems to ensure that controls are adequate and effective in protecting the customers, environment, and employees.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Performs administration duties for the Identity and Authentication platforms
+ Develops and maintains detailed technical documentation related to the Customer Authentication and Identity platforms including on-premise and cloud-based deployments
+ Serves as support for architecture, support, engineering, and application development issues related to Customer Authentication and Identity
+ Analyzes, troubleshoots, and develops third-party integrations for related authentication and identity tools
+ Assists with establishes plans and protocols to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction
+ Assists with compiling technical reports on daily activities
+ Analyzes security scenarios and provides data-driven solutions and may make recommendations to management
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field
+ Or Associate's degree in related field and two (2) years of experience in Information Security/Technology
**Preferences**
+ Experience with Agile methodology and SDLC concepts/tools (Git, Atlassian stack)
+ Experience with cloud-based technologies and environments such as AWS and Azure
+ Experience with Linux/Unix, Windows, scripting (with programming languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl), SQL, LDAP, and web services
+ Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, Python, or JavaScript
+ Ability to articulate complex technical concepts/scenarios to both technical and non-technical audiences

As the Authentication Services Leader within our Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for authentication services across the enterprise. + **Active Directory (AD)** : expert-level design, architecture, optimization, group policy management, replication, and domain controller operations.
+ **Microsoft Entra ID Governance** : access reviews, entitlement management, lifecycle workflows, and privileged identity management (PIM).
+ **Microsoft Entra External ID** : B2B and B2C federation and external user collaboration.
+ **Provide expert-level guidance on directory services** , including Active Directory, LDAP, and ADFS, ensuring secure and efficient identity resolution and authentication.
+ **Drive adoption of modern federation and authentication protocols** , including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC, across internal and external platforms.
+ **Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams** to integrate IAM strategies with enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, and Zero Trust initiatives.

**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ High School Diploma (verified and completed prior to start) and 8 years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, IAM Engineering, or Information Security in a private, public, government, or military environment.
OR
+ Bachelor's degree or higher (verified and completed prior to start) and Six (6) years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, IAM Engineering, or Information Security, in a private, public, government, or military environment.
AND
+ Three (3) years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Why Account Authentication and Security?
The Roblox Account Authentication and Security team provides the front door for the metaverse. Across mobile, web, console, and all locales, we are responsible for onboarding Roblox players, creators and securing their sessions. What makes Roblox unique is that our users tend to skew young and are therefore both impatient and vulnerable. This role is for someone who wants to be a technical leader in making account authentication and security child proof.
This is an excellent opportunity for a product engineer with expertise working on complex thick clients solving user authentication or account security problems to have a large scale impact. The team is product oriented and entrepreneurial with ~80% of our roadmap being sourced from within the team. As a Principal Software Engineer on Roblox’s Account Authentication team you will be responsible for collaborating with product managers, data scientists, immediate management, and executives to decompose strategic problems facing the Roblox community into smaller, more tractable, problems and subsequently craft creative, unconventional, technical solutions.
