Transdev in Allentown, PA is seeking experienced Mechanics to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet of Chevrolet and Ford Cut-away busses.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
+ Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
+ Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
+ Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
+ Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
+ PMs at the Carbon County Location 2 days a week.
+ Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of experience as an automotive Mechanic.
+ ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
+ Mechanic's Tool Set
+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
+ Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

These positions will focus on reconditioning incoming trade vehicles by performing inspections, changing oil/fluids/filters/wiper blades, and performing any basic repairs that the vehicle needs upon your first look. We’ve designed these positions with a specific structure to deal with incoming trade inventory in a stress-free operating environment. You’ll be working in a brand-new climate-controlled facility (no matter the season!) that features new hoists, new benches, and no flat-rate work. Plus, our shops are actually a really fun place to work – with great people and full access to tech fridges/pantries filled with FREE food, snacks, and drinks while you’re on the job.
Preferred applicants for this full-time position need to be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license & an acceptable safe driving record. Above all else, you’ll need to be a positive team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Overtime may be available but is not required.
