Transdev in Allentown, PA is seeking experienced Mechanics to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet of Chevrolet and Ford Cut-away busses.

Competitive compensation package of minimum $26.00 - Maximum $32.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
+ Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
+ Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
+ Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
+ Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
+ PMs at the Carbon County Location 2 days a week.
+ Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of experience as an automotive Mechanic.
+ ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
+ Mechanic's Tool Set
+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
+ Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

- Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by ensuring that management team is maintaining store standards, solid product knowledge, conducting call backs, ensures that time commitments are met, and all other components of guest service. Handles escalated customer complaints.
- Sets expectations and communicates regularly with employees on job responsibilities, goals, training, development, and overall customer service. Holds management team accountable for job responsibilities, training and goals by coaching or counseling employees toward desired behaviors. The District Manager will lead by example.
- Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures of the Company by conducting regular meetings with employees, store audits, etc.
- Conducts performance evaluations for all employees at regular intervals.
- Analyzes and measures business trends; develops and implements plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed Sales and Profit targets as provided in the Store Margin Statement.
- Writes up customers in POS system
- Answers phone calls
- Inventory control
Qualifications :
- Five or more years of experience of sales in an auto repair shop management position or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
- Previous experience in managing and coaching team members to success through effective communication; business development and strategy implementation knowledge.
- Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar position preferred, but not required.
- Possess valid drivers license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a minimum of five days, Monday-Friday

As an Assistant Store Manager , youll be the face of Plaza Tire Servicesupporting store operations, delivering excellent customer experiences, and helping grow the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet customers promptly and professionally, in person and by phone
Listen to customer concerns, inspect vehicles, and review service history
Recommend needed services and explain options clearly so customers can make informed decisions
Document recommendations thoroughly
Prepare accurate quotes with clear costs and timelines
Keep customers updated throughout their service
Process payments, review multi-point inspections, and explain warranties
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
Track returns, core returns, and warranty parts
Support store operations and team success with other duties as needed
Youll also follow all company policies and demonstrate behaviors that align with our Company Standards and Expectations .
What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license
Professional appearance and great communication skills
3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or automotive-related roles
Prior management experience is helpful but not required
Ability to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including weekends
Proven ability to thrive in a process-driven environment
