GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to support existing and develop new customers in implementing igus products into various types of automotive applications in the Mid-West region of the United States. We are looking for someone who has a high technical and mechanical aptitude with an interest in technology who enjoys building strong customer relationships, prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or as well as speaking with customers and engineers to assess needs and to determine requirements. The new hire will collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. You will be a good fit for this role, if you bring a technical education paired with extensive experience in sales, ideally in the automotive supplier industry. This position is within in a highly collaborative environment and requires a hands-on personality as well as superior communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospecting new projects and customers in the automotive sector
- Organize and conduct technical presentation at customer locations to explain how the products work and win new business
- Provide customers with technical improved solutions on lowest costs
- Continuous support of the engineers to find new projects and support ongoing projects
- Work closely with the customers and engineers to ensure our solutions meet the system requirements to find a suitable solution
- Research and stay on top of latest market trends
- Communicate with the sales team and offer sales support to customers
- Submit quotes and lead the decision-making process
- Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will have benefits
- Organize and conduct visits to prospects and customers on a frequent basis and secure sales
- Coordinate all automotive-related documentation, ensuring timely communication between the customer and Automotive Team in Rhode Island.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in Sales within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
