Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Hourly rate of pay is $18.00 to $2.00 per hour. Flat Rate Unit 22 to 28. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives.

Responsible for the efficient, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Guest’s vehicles, the Automotive Technician position is a great way to start your career at Monro.  Starting day 1 you will begin a comprehensive Technician training program, covering all aspects of your new role, while preparing you for the next. As an Automotive Technician for Monro, you will be an essential team member, performing repair services on Guest vehicles. More importantly, you will be part of a team working together to deliver 5 Star Guest experiences, while using your skills to take care of people, their cars and ensure our guests have safe, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance, that you are qualified to perform
• Secure our guests approval to perform the work as a result of the diagnosis; and always maintain a clean, neat work area
• Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance
• Test drive guest vehicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed
• Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver License
• Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in tool purchase program.
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team focused mindset
• Have and maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE automotive certification in at least one of A1-A8
•  Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Automotive technical school certificate/degree

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

The pay range for this position is between $18.00 and $0.00 per hour guaranteed based on experience. Flat rate between 22 and 28 per hour.

+ Replace or repair faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join their team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be part of the engineering department supporting high-performance racing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Automotive Mechanic
**Location:** Santa Clarita, CA
**Pay Range:** $25/hr - $35/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Responsible for building and rebuilding Honda's racing chassis/vehicles and hybrid systems, including quality control checks and final fitting of new parts.
+ Perform component sub-assembly or final assembly of new or rebuilt chassis, as well as teardown, inspection, and measurement of components.
+ Train new associates in the correct procedures and methods used to produce high-quality race components/products.
+ Support objectives for optimal race car performance, reliability, and drivability.
+ Perform quality inspections on chassis components and record findings.
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair work on automotive and/or heavy equipment.
+ Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
+ Education or certification in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related field from a post-secondary vocational school is a plus.
+ Demonstrated ability to perform difficult repairs on all types of automobiles.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical repair manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.

**Responsibilities**
A mechanic is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles. These professionals oversee mechanical inspections, assemble mechanical components, and perform repairs.
**Core Responsibilities:**
+ Examines vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
+ Test drive vehicles, test components and systems using equipment such as computerized diagnostic devices.
+ May repair, reline, replace, and adjust brake systems and perform vehicle alignments.
+ Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
+ Repair and/or replace engine components, brake systems, steering and air bag systems.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair.
**Qualifications**
+ ASE certification.
+ Must be able to pass thorough background check.
+ Must have valid driver's license.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
