About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Automotive Technician:

Salary Range: $18.00 - $4.00 per hour Based on experience $2 - 40 Flat Rate. - Based on experience

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify required repairs
• Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every customer vehicle
• Assist in inventory management and general store duties
• Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards and procedures
• Test drive vehicles following company policy and local traffic laws
• Maintain technical knowledge through required Monro University training
• Operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

General Service - front and back shop

Salary Range: 18.00 - 19.00 per hour. This role is eligible for additional incentives. 

• Successfully complete Monro's training program to enable Guest Care Specialist to execute the Monro selling process.   

• First point of contact for guests on the phone and in the store. Responsible for engaging guests, scheduling appointments, building trust, understanding needs, communicating processes and timelines, and presenting needed services following the Monro selling

• process. Responsible for the organization and productivity of the service business through estimate and invoice transactions.   

• Under the direction of management, assists in various aspects of guest care, work order completion and register assistance, facility maintenance, and outside purchase ordering.  

• This position is a secondary key carrier responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities.  

• Follow all policies and procedures related to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies. Works with the management team to react to guest service issues, guest complaints, and/or business opportunities.  

• Able to understand and effectively communicate all products and services Monro offers to guests.    

• Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, Governmental standards including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards. Consistent use of all required safety standards set forth in training and policies and procedures.   

• Partner with Management to produce a safe and health work environment that complies with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as with company policies and procedures.  

• Maintain an organized and neat guest waiting area.  

• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

Automotive Technician - General Service Front and Back Shop

We are biased, but we think we run a very good auto repair shop, not perfect, maybe not the best, but very good. We are working to improve the industry by giving technicians a nice place to work(A/C, up to date tools, clean work space etc), Advisors who can sell and managers who care about their employees and customers.

Getting the bad news out of the way: we have high expectations from our employees. If you can't show up on time every time, if you do crappy work just to produce more hours and have a generally bad attitude, you will not be working with us for very long. The General Service Technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.  This position is expected to deliver exceptional 5 Star service to our guests, through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions while ensuring that guest expectations for time commitments and quality are consistently met.  

Qualifications:

Automotive Technician 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.   

• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.   

• ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
