About the Role

Are you a TypeScript enthusiast? Is React your jam? If so, you’ll be right at home on the Browser Clients Team. We build and maintain the client-side framework that powers As a Front-end Engineer, you’ll be integral to shipping performant, high quality, and delightful software to Twitch viewers and creators.

You Will:
  • Work effectively with the Browser Clients team and feature teams to build high quality Twitch client experiences.
  • Build, maintain and improve the platform capabilities, developer workflows, tools, and processes that enable feature teams to ship their changes with confidence and velocity.
  • Become an expert in Twitch’s browser-client technology stack and provide guidance to feature teams on implementing their front-end use cases and understanding their performance in production.
  • Contribute to architectural, technical design, and process discussions which guide the evolution of Twitch’s browser-based clients.
  • Identify and uphold frontend engineering best practices through documentation, static analysis, testing and developer education efforts.
You Have:
  • A degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience working on large scale JavaScript applications
  • Experience with TypeScript

  • A good understanding of CSS
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills

Position Overview:

  • The Software Development Lead will lead our team of developers in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using Power Platform, and other technologies.
  • This role will require a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Agile teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development team in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using Power Platform, and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network and Server admins, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions with existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, and coding guidelines.
  • Manage and prioritize project backlogs, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security guidelines, including STIGs, and collaborate with development staff to determine and manage best practices, design patterns, coding guidelines, and security guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to development staff, including code reviews and mentoring.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and UI pages using ServiceNow and Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain client and server-side JavaScript files, including UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Actions.
  • Collaborate with development staff to design and implement workflows, using tools such as Workflow and Flow.
  • Configure and manage outbound REST API and OAuth configurations.
  • Manage ACLs, roles, and group configurations, ensuring best practices and security guidelines are followed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers with limited experience in Power Apps, providing guidance and training to help them develop their skills.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to help the team learn Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform tools.
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps canvas apps, model-driven apps, and portals.
  • Integrate Power Apps with various data sources, including SharePoint, SQL Server, and other APIs.
  • Develop and implement Power Automate workflows, including triggers, actions, and conditions.
  • Create and manage Power BI reports, including data modeling, visualization, and dashboards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SharePoint List and Permission management, as well as Microsoft 365, including Forms and app integration.

Software Development Lead is responsible for Software (SW) projects for our drivetrain electronic control systems (such as AWD products). The responsible activities span the software development lifecycle from specification, design, development, test, release, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The software development will follow the BorgWarner software development process which complies to Automotive SPICE. The SW Development Lead will utilize planning techniques from Agile Scrum and Waterfall methods. The SW Development Lead will work along with other BorgWarner engineers to ensure that program goals are met, schedules are maintained, and problems encountered during the development process are resolved. Lead the software project development. Responsible for technical software project management on Drivetrain System products. Plan and manage the software development work for the assigned projects. Define the software release development schedules and detailed release scope. Identify and analyze sources of software requirements, specify software requirements. Manage the project software sub-suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and 84 months of experience in the job offered or related.

Experience must include: Experience developing embedded software using the C programming language in the automotive, aerospace, commercial machinery, or rail industries; Experience leading and coaching other engineers on technical assignments or as a software project technical lead; Experience leading the development of detailed project plans or schedules utilizing project management methods, including waterfall, agile, scrum, and kanban; Experience with System or Software Requirement derivation, analysis, and allocation; Experience with Software Configuration, Release, and Change Management processes and tools; Experience utilizing Matlab/Simulink to develop embedded software for production projects; Experience debugging and correcting model source code defects utilizing embedded debugging tools; Experience ensuring performance of SW Development through adherence to an ASPICE compliant software development process.
