Duties/Responsibilities :
Specialists will be assigned to one of the two functional areas described below or may act as a "float" during their work shifts.
Commercial Air Transports :
- Research and identify potential commercial transportation options for various locations and time frames to include Commercial shipments and On-Board Courier options.
- Navigate and analyze multiple cargo sites to determine the most efficient and effective transportation solutions.
- Identify and secure STA-certified drivers capable of tendering at cargo sites.
- Proactively address and solve problems in the event of any delays or complications during transportation.
- Develop rapport and communicate effectively with NKR staff and transplant centers.
- Ensure the NKR website is updated throughout swaps.
- Resolves operational issues, handles escalated and/or adverse communications with couriers, commercial airlines and the NKR team.
- Other duties as applicable or assigned.
- Collect all necessary information from calling coordinator and parse information for input into NORA's transportation management system.
- Identify aircraft suitable for requested mission and contact respective air providers to determine if aircraft is available for use to NORA.
- Retrieve appropriate quotes and trip sheets from respective air providers to provide accurate time and price quotes to NORA customers.
- Create all associated ground records and dispatch corresponding drivers for all NORA charter flights.
- Develop and send comprehensive itineraries for requested trips to both the air provider and the customer.
- Field any follow-up questions or requested changes to respective itineraries from customers.
- Monitor all ongoing NORA charter flights, ensuring proper departure and arrival times have been entered, and booking return ground transports as necessary.
- Manage NORA's daily aircraft availability canvassing and update the internal transport management system.
- Other duties as applicable or assigned.
- Prior experience as a Transportation Coordinator or NORA Ground Dispatcher - preferred.
- Ability to work both day and night shifts as dictated by business needs.
- Ability to adapt and problem solve in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
