You will lead the design of cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. Your expertise will be critical in evaluating emerging cloud technologies, recommending adoption strategies, and developing best practices for cloud governance, automation, and cost management. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful migration and deployment of applications and services to the cloud. This involves creating detailed architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and proof-of-concepts. The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for identifying opportunities for optimization, performance enhancement, and cost reduction within our cloud footprint. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role also requires significant engagement with stakeholders across the organization, translating complex technical concepts into business value and ensuring buy-in for proposed solutions. Strong experience in cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is essential. Deep understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing is highly desirable. Proven ability to architect solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity is a must. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with extensive (10+ years) experience in IT architecture and cloud technologies, is required. Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are strongly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are essential for this influential role.
