MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Infrastructure Design: Lead in design decisions and architecting cloud solutions leveraging AWS tools and best practices to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Resource Provisioning: Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS Management Console.
  • Automation: Write and update automation scripts and pipelines for cloud deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and availability of cloud resources and applications.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security controls and best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Cost Management: Assist in managing and optimizing cloud costs, including budgeting and cost allocation.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices to continuously improve cloud solutions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in cloud engineering and architecture.
  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, and others.
  • Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch and ELK stack.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Love for learning and innovation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
