Drive the successful execution of initiatives to achieve profitability and growth in line with the strategic plan for the business
Focus relentlessly on customer service, including the delivery of key opportunities to build the customer base.
Understand the food market lifecycle, and ensure all activities on site, and the team's performance, contribute to meeting the objectives of the business plan.
Build collaborative relationships with key local community groups and authorities, and customers/guests, and attend meetings as required.
Ensure the team represents our reputation, products and the facility to the public in its optimal condition
Ensure the food market meets all obligations stipulated under each license agreement, and all statutory requirements.
Overall responsibility for ensuring 100% accuracy of all information including but not limited to sales, costs, salaries, marketing and compliance of license agreement.
Overall responsibility for the businesss Income and Expenditure, Capital Expenditure and Marketing budgets.
Continuously monitor, reforecast and manage all budgets.
Ensure the Marketing Manager implements dynamic curation and marketing initiatives that deliver increased sales and foot traffic.
Ensure the venue is in line with legislative requirements, and to the highest standard of repair, maintenance, presentation and cleanliness.
Adhere to Alessi policies and procedures and internal reporting deadlines, and provide accurate and high-quality reports, and quick responses to requests for information about the business.
Proactively engage with industry bodies and be up to date with emerging hospitality industry concepts and trends.
Assist with any projects, or undertake additional duties as reasonably required.

SUMMARY:
The primary function of a General Baker Worker is to supply raw materials and move finished products from the production line while keeping accurate counts of product produced. The GBW will work in packaging, processing or mixing as needed. Assignments may change daily. In addition, the GBW will ensure all food safety and quality protocols are followed.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
- Comply with all GMP requirements.
- Completes all necessary paperwork in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
- Order and maintain sufficient packaging material quantities from the warehouse to ensure no interruptions in manufacturing.
- Fully knowledgeable of product packaging specification sheets and production schedules.
- Return all unused packaging materials to the warehouse after the completion of production orders which are properly secured and identified.
- Prepare and attach skid tags and other related documentation to finished product.
- Transports all pallets of finished goods to the warehouse.
- Maintain correct date codes on tape machines as required by product specifications.
- Catch, box and tag any product that goes to end dump.
- Accurately weighs and reports scrap at end of shift.
- Relieve other GBWs for break as needed.
- Provides back-up support to various departments including scaling batches, mixing batches and operating processing and packaging equipment.
- Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and must maintain valid certification.
- Able to properly submit work orders as needed.
- Assist or oversee the training of new employees.
- Assist with changeovers, machine setup and cleaning.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and record written instructions from packaging specification and formula sheets
- Perform SPC (computer) data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications.
- Perform all appropriate Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation as required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Notify Supervision of any issues.
- Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
- Must be able to operate the grinder and accompanying equipment safely and at expected pace
- Must be able to use scanners for lot numbers and understand the importance of lot tracking
- All other duties as assigned.
A General Bakery Worker will be accountable to the Production Supervisor for fulfillment of his or her duties. The performance of a GBW will be measured to the degree of his or her production levels and quality of work performed in these assigned areas.
EXPERIENCE:
Food plant experience is helpful.
EDUCATION:
High School or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs. and shared weight up to 100 lbs.
