The bakery assistant provide support to the Head Baker in the Bakery department while working with other baking assistants. They are responsible for assistance in sourdough bread preparation, maintaining a clean work area, and keeping a consistent schedule of availability.
If you have a basic understanding of sourdough rustic breads, fermentation, and laminated doughs (breads of all types, croissants, rye, etc.) and are looking to gain practical skills and grow your knowledge of bread while making meaningful contributions to the Bakery program this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Responsibilities include:
- Weighing, Mixing and Shaping of sourdough breads
- Setting up and breaking down the Bakery Department each shift.
- Storing food safely.
- Cleaning and maintaining the Bakery area according to food safety standards.

- Has passion for baking, pastries, baking ideology, and direction

Baker Summary:
The baker is responsible for the execution of dishes at Postscript. As a member of our Bakery Department, you'll work alongside a talented team responsible for the production and packaging of the breads, bagels, sweet treats, and other baked goods that make our customers' day. **what will you do?**
+ Bake, produce, and package baked goods
+ Provide incredible customer service and answer customer questions in a timely manner
+ Ensure fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and aisles clean and well-stocked
+ Help maximize sales through effective procedures for stocking, rotating, and merchandising product on the sales floor and in the back rooms
+ May help unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing inventory
