Job Details
Responsibilities:1. Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and technicians in the design and execution of various civil engineering projects.
2. Oversee the development and implementation of civil engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
3. Use advanced knowledge of stormwater management, hydrology, environmental engineering, grading, site development, and Civil 3D to create innovative solutions.
4. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
5. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project requirements are met and exceeded.
6. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
7. Provide expert advice and guidance to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage project risks effectively.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on stormwater management, hydrology, environmental engineering, grading, site development, and Civil 3D.
3. Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and leading high-performing engineering teams.
4. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
5. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts and solutions to team members and clients.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
9. A deep understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards in the engineering industry.

Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates to join our Tulsa, Oklahoma (OK) office in 2026! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
-
Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.

Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.

Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.

Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.

Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
Qualifications

An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026 in one of the following majors:

Civil and/or Environmental Engineering

Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
