Huntingtons Director, Portfolio Management will manage a book of business in the banks Financial Institutions (FIG) vertical within Huntingtons Corporate Specialty and Government Banking group. The Director, Portfolio Management services and, in conjunction with Relationship Management, deepens an assigned portfolio of clients by proactively identifying and evaluating opportunities and mitigating associated business risks, in accordance with Huntington policies, procedures, and guiding principles. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and close broadly syndicated, complex commercial loans
- Understanding of Financial Institutions Insurance
- Provide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administration
- Review loan documentation in consultation with legal counsel
- Manage risk on an ongoing basis by monitoring customer credit worthiness, adherence to loan terms and general business conditions
- Manage annual reviews and renewals, portfolio reviews, collateral exceptions, borrowing bases, delinquencies and other reporting
- As appropriate, assist in optimizing customer relationships working with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, Capital Markets and other team members
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 7 or more years of Financial Institution portfolio management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insurance experience in Property Causality and Life is highly preferred
- 10 years of diversified banking experience including portfolio management experience and positions of increasing responsibility, with 5 years of expertise in the FIG space. Leverage lending expertise a plus.
- Industry knowledge and established networks within the FIG sector highly preferred
- Completion of formalized credit training program
- Demonstrated success structuring complex credits; researching, judging and presenting information verbally and in writing; creating documentation to support the credit and minimize risk
- Proven ability to manage workflow and deadlines, while effectively balancing competing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership experience by providing coaching, skill development and feedback to team members
- Proven negotiation skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel and other software applications that are supportive of the loan underwriting process
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of professionalism

Compensation Range:
$93,000.00- $189,000.00 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. A Brief Overview
The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) is responsible for drafting, analyzing and distributing standard and non-standard reports that track performance and illustrate challenges in addition to performing ad-hoc analysis to support decision making. The SFA Indirect Procurement partners closely with the procurement team and cross functional partners to track performance vs. savings goals and administers mechanisms to achieve those goals. - Partner with business stakeholders to prepare standard and ad-hoc analysis and reporting which provide actionable insights for decision making.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and interpret trends and proactively communicate meaningful insights. Identify new opportunities and assist key business partners with problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain accurate budget, forecast and risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on Safelite Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Provide analytical support to business partners in support of ESG initiatives.

What You'll Do:
This position involves, among other things, research, analysis, technical and persuasive writing, and written and oral presentations for utility consumer advocacy in such forums as the Public Utilities Commission (PUCO) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).Written and oral presentations including testimony and cross-examination in hearings. The employee will work with analysts, attorneys, retained experts and others on projects and legal cases for consumer protection.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Analyze and dissect complex economic issues in utility filings.
- Deep dive into revenue requirements, including rate base, operations and maintenance (O&M), depreciation, and taxes.
- Assess the impact of proposed rate changes on consumer bills.
- Represent OCC as a witness in regulatory proceedings (standard rate cases, alternative ratemaking, grid modernization, capex riders, etc.).
- Leverage your financial expertise to analyze financial statements and rate of return models (i.e., Capital Asset Pricing Model, Discounted Cash Flow).
- Utilize industry-leading market intelligence platforms to stay ahead of trends (S&P Global).
- Collaborate with PUCO, utilities, and consumer advocates to reach fair settlements.
- Become familiar with PJM energy and capacity markets including standard service offers and auctions.
- Manage and improve a database of historical tariffs.
- Assist in crafting public comments and legal discovery requests.
- Build strong relationships with regulators and advocate for consumer interests.
- Stay current on industry developments through conferences and training.
- Partner effectively with legal, public affairs, and operations departments.
- Share your expertise and insights with leadership.
- Guide and mentor analytical department interns.

The preferred candidate will have 10+ years of experience in utility regulations.This experience should include familiarity with utility regulatory proceedings, accounting, finance, rate-making principles, economics, and/or equivalent experience. Candidates should be familiar with working with and synthesizing large datasets.
Applicants should demonstrate excellence in oral and written communications, including persuasive writing and making technical issues understandable. A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word, and Outlook), online research, and other technology used in consumer advocacy is expected.
Applicants must have at least a bachelow's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or economics or other related degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate is preferred. Direct experience with the PUCO is also preferred.
