This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks related to the maintenance of general ledger accounts, including the month-end close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to management and other stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. Key Accountabilities- Prepare accruals, journal entries and drive completion of the month end close process. Review entries in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for accuracy; research discrepancies and make corrections.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly forecasts, mid-term and long-term plan updates, working with department heads to analyze headcount, operating expenses, and capital expenses. Assist with review of forecast vs. actual performance on a monthly basis with accountable leaders
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts and investigate and clear any open differences.
- Assist with preparation of monthly management reports and analysis.
- Record and track Customer aircraft deposits; provide pro-forma and final invoices for aircraft deliveries; apply payments and verify amounts prior to aircraft departure.
- Review intra-company and inter-company accounts and transactions to ensure they are recorded accurately and reconcile.
- Use analytical skills along with an in-depth knowledge of system applications to provide ad-hoc reporting. Monitor activity and ensure integrity between Customer Service business system and SAP.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (finance, accounting, engineering, economics majors preferred)
- Advanced degree, CPA or MBA a plus
- 5-7 years of financial analysis experience
- Prior retail finance / accounting experience a plus
- Extreme focus on data accuracy
- Ability to model complex business questions/issues
- Ability to think analytically and creatively
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
- Demonstrated leadership skills and strong interest in advancement
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment
- Ability to work with various levels of management throughout the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter and motivator, ability to remain focused and on task with minimal direction
- Advanced PC skill proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for supporting the financial and budgetary planning functions at MSM. The Financial Analyst will possess a broad knowledge of financial analysis and management skills. The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing financial data and analysis to inform the department/units leadership on operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Consolidate and analyze financial data.
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models.
- Identify trends, advise and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.
- Drive process improvement and policy development.
- Propose improvements to systems and methods of work and analysis and contribute to ensuring that they are continuously adapted to business requirements.
- Monitor the data integrity of service line profitability reporting and the decision support system.
- Develop revenue/expense projections based upon financial factors.
- Prepare various analytics, feasibility studies, ROIs, and leadership reports as needed.
- Develop/recommend improved monitoring and reporting operation methods and quality performance data.
- Support the annual budget process with volume and financial projections.
- Collect and analyze data and coordinate the reporting of key financial metrics on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
- Analyze new opportunities/relocations in consideration of business objectives, space, and capital requirements and ROI projections.
- Review actual vs. budget performance monthly and assist with budget variance explanations for needed Service Lines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university is required;
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in business operations or relevant work experience;
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills;
- Ability to convey and explain complex information in a simplified way to others;
- Proficiency in multi-tasking, time management, and in establishing and organizing priorities;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in business or healthcare administration is strongly preferred;
- Prior work experience in an academic, clinical, and/or research institution is strongly preferred;
- Experience in implementing the strategic mission of the institution.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Financial Analyst on our Financial Planning and Analysis team, considered the analytical engine of the company , providing insights and support to Senior Management for optimal business decision making. This role will actively participate in monthly financial reviews, budgeting, and forecasting along with customer profitability reviews and special projects. Supports the company through reporting via SAP BI/BW/Business Objects (BOBJ) & associated tools;. This requires a high level of comfort and adaptability to new technolog y. Creates, maintains, and executes SAP/BOBJ reports, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, efficiency, and business applications.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create and maintain reports in SAP/BOBJ (and other applicable tools) with an understanding of internal / external customer requirements, system capabilities / metrics, data integrity, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Analyze performance trends including revenue, margin, expenses, and capital expenditure in support of Senior Management decision-making.
- Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis including developing financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in development and analysis of budget, financial forecasts, and monthly / quarterly financial reports.
- Participate in customer profitability analysis to maximize sales, margin, and operating income.
- Support all users / departments in report creation, advice, and education, considering accounting, timing, and intricacies of data definitions that may apply.
- Work with Reporting Team & SAP Team to stay informed on issues and developments related to reports and data including testing and loading new reports, best practices, functionality, and / or dashboards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business (accounting / finance) or Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Ability to consolidate, analyze and summarize detailed data for all levels of management in a variety of formats
- SAP/Business Objects (BOBJ) experience highly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- High standard of accuracy & precision, highly organized
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Adaptable to changing technology tools
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
