Our client is seeking a proven leader with deep expertise in core banking applications and financial services operations to manage and strategically guide the use of applications supporting key banking functions. This is a 5 days/week on-site role based out of the Greater Philadelphia/Delaware market. This individual will oversee a team of 14+ employees, serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT, and ensure that core systems and vendor-delivered solutions align with business goals. The role is quasi-technical , requiring both a strong understanding of banking operations and the ability to interpret data, reports, and APIs, while leveraging vendor partnerships to optimize business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 14+ employees (including 2 direct reports) supporting applications used across banking business units.
- Act as the primary bridge between business operations and technology, ensuring applications meet end-user needs and align with strategic objectives.
- Oversee applications delivered by FIS and other vendors (solutions are ~70-80% vendor-provided), ensuring the bank leverages products correctly and gains full value from new features and services.
- Engage directly with FIS and other core banking partners to manage escalations, resolve issues, and optimize support.
- Drive strategic outcomes by evaluating whether products and services meet business needs and recommending enhancements where necessary.
- Support daily operations by overseeing reporting, data interpretation, and analytics within the core banking environment.
- Translate operational requirements into system configurations, reports, and process improvements.
- Provide leadership and hands-on expertise in core banking platforms such as FIS, Jack Henry, Fiserv, or similar systems.
- Understand and interpret API-driven data and integrations while partnering with IT on system connectivity (Salesforce/nCino knowledge is not required).
- Ensure application availability, compliance, and secure operations across the banking environment.
- Participate in and guide key projects, including core upgrades, conversions, and new product rollouts.
- Be available for occasional on-call support, such as Saturday coverage during critical updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial services technology, with deep exposure to banking operations and core processing systems.

Job Description
Evaluate commercial loan/lease applications received primarily through the branch network channel. Adjudicate primarily new credit requests (of $25,000 or less) in accordance with designated approval authority with group credits and/or renewals (up to $00,000). **Primary Responsibilities:**

Credit facilities include secured and unsecured term loans, commercial mortgages, lines of credit, letters of credit and equipment leases. Evaluate each loan applicant's financial condition, cash flow and credit history in order to make appropriate loan decisions within individual lending authority.
+ Initiate and process credit requests in credit system for underwriters.
+ Interact with loan underwriters, bank office managers, various SBA personnel, and external customers throughout the underwriting process. Research M&T Bank systems for the status of loan and deposit accounts, and enter into the credit system.
+ Understanding of governmental credit support available to small business loans (SBA programs) is required. Review proposed loan packages for SBA eligibility following SBA program guidelines, policies and procedures for more complex and/or non-routine deals.
+ Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

**Scope of Responsibilities:**
